According to the story, we are the ones that steal the maps and attack NPCs. So the basic ending turns villain (you) into hero, but the secret ending actually keeps you a villain

So something i like to think about is Main ending - Yeah you die and the earth lives on for another thousand years or so. buuuuttt The Secret Ending - If the world is doomed the an apocolypse, but you obtained the Sword of Naa, what if the devs make that the "canon ending" and that could be a cool spinoff/DLC. You (The player), roam the planet during the apocolyspe YOU CAUSED, but the key to fixing it, is the sword of Naa you got. Something like finding some sort of ancient magic to infuse into the sword, sacrifice yourself with it, and then fix the planet Just an idea doe.

The boss battle from a lore standpoint wasn’t needed since you had already fought the “protectors” of the tower. The tower is basically a giant vent I’m assuming the sword is the key to the venting of kevosah (the star in the vid) and so when you defeat 6 bosses you get an op sword as your reward yet punishment considering what consequences come next, but from a gameplay standpoint yeah it would be cool.

From a gameplay perspective, a huge boss at the end would be cool, but lore wise it wouldn’t make sense. The tower is somewhere that nobody, but the player should be able to get to and to get to the tower and do the secret ending. You would’ve had to kill a lot of the guardians who protect the stones, which are necessary to get the secret ending. Wouldn’t make much sense for another stone guardian to just kind of appear at the end. And if not, one of those big guardian guys then who would stop you?

@@WoopyIsReal I have a theory (I commented it, but your reply reminded me of my theory.) I think when you do the secret ending, you don’t actually doom the world. If the sword is the conduit of the entire process, then maybe it’s so powerful that when you use the sword it takes big chunks out of the core instead of blasting a beam into space every few thousand years to release the extra stored magic. That’s why you can use the sword without dying, and why it’s infinitely imbued. It’s a slow survivable process to be done every day, instead of a really big lethal process done every thousands of years.

One of the funniest things about the ending is that the crsytal’s damage is actually “normal” damage. I had done a warrior build my first play through (full mind and body), with blackened armor. So when I was having my life force sucked out of me, it hurt about as much as a mosquito.

okay... bro. Do you like lore that is nothing but 1 to 5 pieces of evidences of the greater world in the game? like the lore in, for example, rimworld? Like where the whole point is that there is a lack of lore and a lot of possible/allowed variation because it is so open-ended? Rimworld is a sci-fi survival game with an AI storyteller. The storyteller is liek the world and the colonists are space-farers that crashlanded on a planet that is on the rim of the known universe. There is some hard lore in the game, like the bugs, the mechs, and the different space races, but the whole design of the game is to be around a random rimworld. You get random colonists, a random planet with some adjustable parameters, a chosen or random location on that planet full of various biomes. You can also have randomized or specified cultures that have a lot of variables and different directions they can go into. I spend a lot of time thinking about the many iterations of being in each one of those scenarios... each "one" being a different rimworld planet. But then I also think about games where there is a lack of lore for practical reasons. Like when Mario was battling Donkey Kong in NYC as an italian immigrant and dating Pauline. There is a lot that one might add or take from that story and it can branch into a variety of different things. Imagine if someone were tasked with tying up the entirety of Mario lore. What would that even look like?

Nomad player here! Thank you for this video. I like never read any of the paper in the game because it was hard to see the words, so half the time I had no idea what was going on. This helped explain what the ending was and also that there was a secret ending I didn’t know about! So now im going back and doing a sorcery playthrough to balance out all the blade-ing I did in my first one!

I think if the game had even just an opening cutscene telling you your goal instead of just papers the ending would be so much better. I read one paper and thought I was passing trials to enter a super cool dungeon with a final boss or a cool sword and when I finally beat the game I just get blasted.

I was way off. When I took a quick glance at the lore book (with some pages missing) I thought we were some sorcery god reincarnated into a human, and then ascended into godhood. 😂 the credits got me in my feels. I have a theory. Maybe the weapon is so powerful that instead of needing the tower to shoot at space every few thousands of years, it is slowly drained from the core, so it is always at a safe level. Assuming this is correct, then you would need to train the next generation to be powerful enough to use it, and now it’s a weapon that saves the world instead of a tower. Boom I just made a theory that may make some people mad for some reason because it’s the internet and everyone gets mad here. (Joke. Kind of.)

I found a dalgarian tablet that I think has the same name of Talshi Nakamla (3:29 in video) and the tablet was a message talking about how a rod thing would be disguised as a legendary sword spoken of in the texts to persuade people to grab it, activating the PMN Convergence Chamber. It was either in the same tablet or a different one that was talking about the neutron star that may destroy the planet.

Can you explain the stone tablet illustration in your home near the crystal table? I initially thought it was like a “sacred” combination of crystals/unlocks. I was also going to try and translate the 5 letter word on the tablet as well. And until I just watched this video I was theorizing to myself that you needed to have that combination to be able to grab the sword. I only finished one playthrough so far so I had absolutely no idea there was a secret ending/path 😅
