64 bit takes like 3mins to start the game after l click run and ofcourse the lag nomatter the settings 32bit meanwhile starts in 10secs loads reak quick and good fps however jadestone village and mushin are sure to crash if you dont change channel asap. Opening many reward chests (basically ui graphics) crash game and in bg pressing 4 key to resurrect while some classes use certain skills is also a guaranteed crash

Welcome! Just be careful not to hang in one area for too long with the 32 bit client - it crashes after about 15 minutes in a populated area!

i already did that once going into the launcher and change it to 32bit option and after that it was a big increase my loading screens where faster and everything else was just better overall but there was only one thing the game kept doing and that was crashing and then it told me the reason because it crashed and that was that it was missing some files or something like that and that the launcher wasnt installed at 32bit. cause i could most of the times only play for like a hour or maybe two hours before it would crash so maybe you can help me out with that cause i changed it back and the game never crahsed so i left out this option

@@016duda u didnt even try to solve the problem so no excuse there. I am using w10 with 64bit and I have 120-190fps while doing nothing. Raids are 25-55 fps depends on the classes. Ryzen 3700x and almost all settings at max except monster effects and sfx of others

Thank you a LOT for this tip! I tried it and now the game loads much faster, and the loading screens also are faster to load. On top of that I play with Integrated graphics, at some places got even 33fps. Also my ping is lower i dont know if thats with the change or not. Usually i had like 150-160, now i see 110-120. I just got done doing it and I was running only 22 FPS it boosted up to about 45 50 FPS but I'm very upset at the result because I'm running a RTX 3080 TI and a Ryzen 7 5800x I should be pushing way past 120fps.. it just goes to show I think the game is poorly optimized and the new unreal engine 4 isn't going to help anything because looking at the KZbin videos on that FPS still looks like s***

Whilst the performance does feel drastically smoother, the 32 bit client crashes quite often, which can be a pain in the ass.

I got similar specs to Levi except a bit less RAM (which I'm not sure even makes a difference when dealing with 32bit client). Crash frequency is way too high for me. If heading into high population areas like Mushin Tower, it's a guarantee crash even with characters turned off, and the only way to get out is to turn it back to 64bit

If you're using BnS Buddy, then it's probably because of that. All you have to do instead is to set the priority in the settings menu of BnS Buddy rather than in the task manager.

Cry into your GPU and see if it brings it back to life like when pikachu cried on ash in the pokemon movie to bring him back to life. jk. BnS in 32 bit only uses 4 Gb of ram, so that doesn't matter. Sometimes disabling hyperthreading in the Bios can help, sometimes messing with the nvidia settings can help... there's a lot you can try. Search better FPS on my channel and I've got like 6 videos with different things.

Yes, it does, if you have 'Use All cores' selected then it won't do. You can do the same thing with Bnsbuddy though in the settings tab

Fyi u pretty much have the same setup as me and you have ddr4, i noticed in a few of your videos you where not sure. the 7700k mb only use ddr4 as when i changed over i had to replace everything,because i could no longer use my ddr3 memory. love your videos and this trick is helping, but i never got that low of frames but i am also not streaming or recording but still going to use it thank you! and you where totally right i now crash lol

Yes it crashes as the memory leaks out. Seems to be every 2ish hours for me. But for me it is worth it. Might not be in raids but general questing and dungeons heck yea.

If you add BnS Buddy Launcher into this tip, the Auto Clean Memory every few minutes or however you set it will prevent crashing. It also has other options for compatibility and increasing fps, also the option to use all cores~ Very useful~

If you want to play the 32bit client switch on the RAM cleaner in BNSBuddy to periodically free some RAM. This reduces the crashes a little bit.

I had 5-40 FPS last year, but ever since I used every single method online combined I’m now sitting at consistent 120 FPS using 64-bit client. First, disable Bluetooth in device manager. Second, use Throttlestop and NIVIDIA inspector to boost hardware performance. Last, use BnS buddy to launch the game with “use all cores” option checked. Each of the above method gives me around 20-30 FPS boost. Just for the record, I’m using a laptop.

As stupid as it sounds, u HAVE to launch and kill the process while launching the game in 64 bit like 5-8 times. If ur game launches in about 1 minute, u are on the right track. If it takes 5 minute u will be locked at 30fps

This might actually be an old bug of the 64 bit client. Basically, if you installed B&S anywhere beside the default install location, the 64 bit client will be basically unplayable (constant 20 fps). You can try to move/reinstall B&S into the default install location and check out if the fps came back to normal.

I crash too much in the 32bit client. Every 5-10 minutes I crash. Using ryzen 5 5600x cpu so yeah, for me it's better to get lower fps but at least it won't crash. Also, when I'm on 64bit, I realized I get terrible fps if I have other apps running in the background. After closing all non-essential apps fps became more stable. Also, if you've been playing for long, the ram usage continues to increase on 64bit for some reason so make sure you take a break or restart the game every hour or so if you are on 64bit.

After fail trying to install BNS on 2 external ssd (prop both broke gonna use as file / photo storage now) , i reinstalled BNS on hdd again and for whatever reason my fps droped to 12 (it was a day before server maintainance) and even freezed my screen till it catched up the frames ... i mostly missed whole bossfights in dungeons . I was almost quiting this crap again but then remembered ur fps vids . It is a very good idea, the only problem is that bns is broken and crashes 24/7 with 32bit. Even with bns buddy you get crash if you are in a overpopulated map (ex. Mushin Tower). Still a very good thing if you can't run well with 64bit.

It crashes after the memory leak of the game takes it over 3.6 Gb. You need to windstride somewhere before your RAM goes over 3.6 Gb, which resets it back down to 1.7. At which point it just creeps up until it crashes, or you windstride. More people in an area make it creep up faster.

If you use 32 bit version you will crash once use more than a certain amount of ram used, for me its 4.1 gb since i use an old slow ram. While on the 64 but you less likely to crash but will use an insane amount of ram. Use with caution.

32 bit is not a good solution tho cause it crashes way too many times and I cant have that doing raids. Plus u know what ur issue with 64 bit is? U have to restart the game like 5-7 times and u are back to normal fps. Reason is that it does not utilize ur gpu from pcie but the integrated gpu from ur cpu. Try my method and do a video again and u will see that many complaints about 64 bit is almost gone. I have 3700x, 32gb ram, rtx2060 and i run this game from 25-195fps. I have my cap removed in the config file by setting the fps value to 0

x32 is way more unstable, for some builds it will be constant crashing. For some few crashed, for some no crashes. But there is a way to fix fps for x64, I'm getting stable 60 fps but my fps capped at 60 atm. If you want to check it out check reddit Throne of Oblivion and check the comment section

So am I the only who thinking that sub-30fps on 64bit client is because of FTH? Go into your BnS Buddy (I think Win10 has its own FTH entry not sure), go to extras tab, turn off FTH and delete your FTH history. Now your 64-bit client has normal FPS again.

3 is risky, try it both ways and see which works better. BnS Only uses 1 core at any time so you won't have any issues as far as locking up your PC, but better to try both and see.

ok, as of 8:06 AM on January 29 2021 (NY Time), this appears to be a viable fix. Note, I could of just hit a "rough" part, and am testing in a "soft" part, but seems better. i5-8600k OC 4.8ghz 32GB ddr4 3200mhz Ram Gtx 1080 Latest updated version of windows 10 64 bit. (Hence you should be able to follow this video without worry of version) once again I could be verifying on a false positive, but thanks for the great video.

If you wanna run f8 dungeons with 32bit go ahead, but I would not recommend it if you are doing weeklies,raids (since crashing could make you miss on dynamic rewards), Also for the 64bit the fix for me and a lot of people that I know of had similar trash fps in 64bit was disabling FTH in windows, There are guides on how to disable it, or if you are using BnSBuddy there is an option in Extras that disables it for you.

32bit is okay for solo content or dungeons. in progress raids its a pain in the ass cuz u crash like every 2nd try.. but yeah performance is much better on 32bit. dont know why they dont just fix that crash shit when memory usage gets too high

This is a bug with 64bit client.... You would have better performance with it then over the next day for some reason it will be way worse basically dropping to 25fps or so. In the ends its their shitty game bugging out the 64bit client. Without the bug you have same if not better performance on 64bit

OMFG THANK YOU SO MUCH! I'VE ALWAYS LOVED BLADE AND SOUL BUT NEVER WAS ABLE TO REALLY PLAY BECAUSE OF LAG WITH THE SERVER MERGE, BUT NOW I CAN. i DID THIS AND MY FPS BOOSTED FROM 10 TO LIKE 65! MY PING EVEN GOT REDUCED ABOUT 100 MS!
