Blade and Soul How to Fix Low FPS with Max Setting 64 Bit Client!

How to fix the fps lag in 24 Man Dungeons with max settings!
1. Change cpu priority to high in task manager as shown
2. Disable any compatibility setting you may have left on bns launcher short cut. This is reason why running 64 bit is so laggy fps wise. Make sure to disable 32 bit in the nc west bns launcher settings.
3. Follow the screen shots and as shown in the video and change your settings in the nvida control panel.

Important note for Win 10 users, try to disable the game mode for win 10 and also disable window defender for improved performance. A recent comment mention how to fix the windows service pack 1 error when trying to run the 64 bit version as well. Holy cow dude thanks my fps went from 10 to 95 fps standing still in a hunting place!At first I was like my fps didnt improve at all and I followed your guide... and I forgot to change the pre rendered frames the whole time lol. I got two questions though, would I have to always manually set the gpu for Bns to high everytime I launch the game? Billy Tran my apologies, your comment was buried but here is my answer. It's fine, typically such laptops like this use two graphics hardware components. One is the on board graphics and other is nividia. What happens is that save on power, the laptop will use the on board graphics but will switch when it detects heavy graphic usage. As long as u follow the guide, your computer will be using the nvidia card automatically.

Otakughost 181 if your talking about bringing up the task menu, it’s crlt alt delete to bring it up. Head to processes and then click the show all processes button then look for client.exe

İlkay Avcı are you getting an error message when you try to change it? Also I wouldn't recommend using realtime for any program, especially resource hog like blade and soul. Perhaps bns buddy from what I understand of it but please check this for me. After you have made the change to high, right click on the process client.exe and then go priority settings and check what the black dot is next too. If it's next to high and then it should be working.

Limit frame rate to your screen's refresh rate (forget 144hz) or set it just to 60 or 70 if you get possible stutter and wont feel it as hard if it was set at 60. Also you get literally no benefit of 120 fps except you won't get it anyway and just cook your gpu even more and possibly a tiny bit faster loading screen. Also why background 60fps? you're not in it and you shouldn't waste any resource on it then anyway. Your game will go down hard only at combat and amount of characters which actually shouldn't be happening. Also turn off windows visuals for windowed gameplay. The fact that you're playing with a gpu thats literally tripple my price and we both sharing the same amount of fps tho me not having downgraded my gpu graphic settings... The things that will kill your fps in the game are most like bloom effects from skills and while sprinting.

AnimeT0getherEU let me explain about how wrong you are lol. My GPU is 1080, it doesnt let me select past 120 for refresh or fps limit. I have a 165hz monitor. I play at 1440p. And still my fps drops to 60. To even 30's sometimes. Then on my r7 1700 @ 3.8 is having problems. It's not the players fault it's the games. Its literally shut till this day for optimization for anyone past windows 7. I get a legit headache playing this game. While I can easily play better triple A game at 100+ even while streaming. They need to fix the optimization. For background you always want a nice background in mmo that's why you want some fps for background no matter what. Obv you want more for what's in front of you.

you did not get his whole point first point 1. why not set it at 120?, the only argument to setting your fps max at 120 is if during combat in dungeons and you can keep a stable 100+ then 120 is totally alright, otherwise its better for your system to lower your fps limit a bit since "there no point" like he originally mentioned as you get fps drop. Another positive is that the stutter during a fps drop from 120 to 60 is not as hard as if you were to drop from say 90 to 60. 2.background limit the background limit in bns IS NOT the actually background of the game, it is when you alt tab and browse the web or something the game powers down to a lower fps. This is generally a default in almost all game but bns is not one of them and some players can get this confused. My personally setting : FPS limit 80fps, background limit 10fps I use a high end $3k laptop, during combat i see my fps as low as 40fps but generally a good solid 60-70, honestly it would not matter as long as you don't set your limit below 60, and yes this is all the games fault

If you're running on a not so great computer, I recommend changing the resolution in the desktop (not in game) to 800x600. Looks awful but at least you can play.

@@WorldofPossible i'm running wind 10 , 1070 gti graphics , 16 gb corsair ram , with intel i8700 with turbo boost 4.3 on , i first noticed the improvement after legacy uptate , after a view more days the fps were again bad a.f and i didnt know why , than ive realized that the 32 bit box was unchekt for some reason , with cpu usage at 15% ram 40 and graphic 25 or so , with 32 bits client ive noticed cpu usage going to 90%, not oly the fps are better but the loading time as well are 2 or 3 times shorter

@@WorldofPossible it all stacks up, I rerolled windows versions multiple times and some work much better than others. Now I am on 1709 cuz that works best for me. Still problems are pretty bad nowadays. Waiting for that ue4 somewhere jan/feb next year for our servers

i changed everythin i changed to xp service pack 3 too but doenst fit to me. have 8 gb ram gtx950m graphic card intel core i5-6300hq cpu 2.3ghz x64bit win10(notebook)

I would upgrade ur memory but you'll need to use your nvidia "desktop" setting to lower the resolution. Not the game. The game's resolution settings don't actually work at all.

angelo ii lol I fix whatever was causing the 64 bit version to run at 8 fps. With that fix, the 64 bit allowed me to run at 31 to 46 fps with crlt f turned off. That an incredible difference to say the least.

Why would you set your nvidia settings Texture Quality to High Performance? That way you are ruining your gameplay,this game barely uses any GPU power or VRAM so setting High Performance just lowers your GPU.This game 90% is all about your CPU.

Are you trying to install the game on hard drive separate from the O/S?

No, I installed the game on the same hard disk/same partition with my OS. Actually now it's downloading but at a very VERY slow speed.

I always have a max of 20 fps no matter what I do :/ I tried msp once and I crashed at the last boss. my game has gotten as low as 4 or 5 fps before.

I'm sure it's more of a computer problem than a game problem. I've done all the above besides the fact that my computer won't run 'Nvidia' so I've been searching for alternative programs. specs are here: prntscr.com/f1rwr3 I believe I've pretty much done all the above besides not being able to use Nvidia since it isn't compatible with my computer
