This is why news channels should hire film interviewers who have extensive knowledge on the film making process.

One of the best things about Kevin is that (while he's always nerding out about the entire film) he always bases his questions off of the trailers, then lets the people he's interviewing know that he's talking about a scene thats already been shown so they don't have to worry about spoilers. It must make them feel so much more comfortable and it really shows in the tone of the interview. Kevin is the BEST. I'm literally so spoiled for other interviewers

Gosh such a joy to listen such a prolific interview. You can see immediately the genuine interest and excitement for the industry. And that transfers to the audience right away! I'm driven when I see smn is passionate a lot about Smth, it's sexy! Hehe plus interviewer is so handsome as well. Anyways, we get less and less an actual smart, intelligent, contextual interviews nowadays (where the interviewer is actually interested in people in front of him or her, and not just to get it done, and check the box) what a joy! I haven't even watched that movie, but I got excited about it after watching this .. interview or more a passionate , enthusiastic conversation. Thank you!

The interviewer is very good, he doesnt act like a dick butting into the actors, also nice to see Harrison fairly happy here, hes seemed pleased and at ease throughout all the promotional stuff surrounding Blade Runner 2049, so he must be pleased hes been given a solid great role to play again now. TFA his role playing Han he could have done with his eyes closed, he even actually looked bored in that movie at some point, maybe that accident didnt help either. I got a good feeling about this sequel, that it isnt just all action, weak story and looks just like the original. It feels like Villeneuve has truly brought the substance and continued the story.
@RaikenXion7 жыл бұрын
Oh I luv it, its a working masterpiece in my view. The director did everything I was hoping for and more with this film. Its alot like the original tbh, but not a copy-cat movie (like so many sequels are). What I like most about this film is purely how long it drags out alot of it's scenes. Many are complaining that its too long, and even boring for this, or makes it predictable but I see it as the scenes are drawn out, to encourage the viewer to look at the film in different aspects. Our ability to empathize with the main character K, depends on which way we are seeing his character. Is he a replicant that has found his humanity, or was he simply a tool, a replicant purposefully placed in such a position, to act as a kind of unknowing decoy. A replicant who has no feelings and he realizes the truth at the end and thats why he lay there on those steps, instead of getting medical treatment. There are just different ways of looking at the film, could K and that girl in the quarantined room be siblings? The coding he was reading showed a match for both male and female, and she did shed a tear when she viewed his memory, as if she knew the truth. It is a beautifully ambiguous film. I'll definitely buy this on blur-ray and watch in alongside Bladerunner, I just hope they dont churn out loads of different versions of the film again. What did you think of it?

I don't care about the post show interviews, what matters is if the film itself works. And it does, almost as good as the original. I'm only concerned with the film release fiasco that happened with the original won't happen with this theatrical release. Certainly for me the best film on 2017 as shown.

Deckard as a human makes more sense and more interesting colors to the movie. 2 replicants kissing and sex...who cares right? But a human and replicant (Rachel) makes it awkward and adds depth. Saw 2049...absolutly THE most stunning film ever made (after Blade Runner of course) You MUST see it in Imax. The sound rattles your heart, bones and soul.
@Psyfi857 жыл бұрын

Though she had a rather small on set contribution, Doing voice over and reference for Lightstage digial capturing, You guys shouldve interviewed Sean Young as well. Sean Young is so pivotal to BladeRunner, as well as the story of 2049 NOT TO MENTION, in the very context of BladeRunner, The REAL ACTRESS WAS INDEED REPLICATED in 3D as a digital actress for the film. and yet.. somehow.. everyone has not interviewed her nore acknowleged this very significant real life fact. Sean Youngs actual Digital Replication.

Kevin is always great and I have no idea why people give out about an interviewer who asks actual questions about films and the filmmaking behind it than gossip questions.Yet people give out about him being a geek which isn't even put on since he is actually like this on twitter. Its better to have an optimistic knowledgeable film lover/interviewer than fake disrespectful lickarse reviewer who cares fuck all about the film.
