Blade & Soul - Earth Soul Fighter Guide (Pre Rework)

A basic guide on Earth SF gearing and rotations pre/post Skybreak Spire, as well as HM skills.

Some things i forgot to mention
Holy Fire Soul Badge - 1000% Kingfist damage with Golden Dragon
Works well with Dragon Bracelet and Long CD soul
HM Cobalt Punch: Refreshes the cooldown of Iron Shoulder on hit to enemies inflicted by Grab, Phantom Grip.
HM Chi Burst Move 2: Gives the user and party members 30% - 50% bonus Max Health for 30 sec. Needed for VT
You should get Holy Fire eventually anyway, since it fuses with Primal Force for Colossus Soul Badge.
EDIT: Earth got the following changes..
-Breaking Claw now generates 1 focus on critical hit.
-Decreased the cooldown of Iron Shoulder to 5 sec.
-Requirements for Iron Shoulder changed to "on hit with Cobalt Punch"
F RMB is much less focus hungry now
SF is getting a huge rework, especially for Earth Build. When that patch hits, this guide will be outdated. Divine Dragon will be better than Tiger even in solo situations, so if you want to prepare for it, a safe bet would be to make sure you have Dragon Bracelet and the new Glory Badge.
I'll try to make a guide when we do get the update.

Amazing guide :) Wish I found this before I did alll this research, took forever since there's barely any recent info about earth SF, while this vid has it all in one place :D And we even have the EZ Bracelet now oh baby Edit: I wish all guides were like this haha, they usually only cover one aspect like combos for example, or they're super long for no reason Oh and in description I think you mean HM Cobalt Punch, not Breaking Claw

Its really good to put the viable parse ratio's so people can decide whether its worth playing a class or not. It seems you can do 1.01 or 1 cobalt punch ratio which is good to play this spec. Less than 0.87 is not even worth playing earth spec and forget about ice. I am also earth geared sf like you ^^

I might do a seperate video for a parse. Didn't put one here cause players should enjoy a class before worrying about it's dps. Good to see another earth sf ^^ especially since barely anyone plays this class, let alone earth.

Hello. Nice guide. Could you tell some tips about gearing for 6x6? Im interested in budges and personally thinking that earth sf is slightly better then ice sf in 6x6

Gearing an alt and thought it would be fun to go earth instead of basic ice that you see, I am personally going to go Dragon bracelet because this alt is going to be used to smash the shit out of ToI, and then raid on the side

Nice guide. Currently im playing SF with endgear on ice and whant to change to earth (because the only reason i started playing ice was that earth was fare wors at the time i started). Still Struggeling with the f rmb rhythm. is there an timing you are locking for to maintain 5 f + rmb between 2 iron shoulders ?

As an example. When you play Lightning BD you w8 for the 2nd lightningflash hit (you can hear it quit well) and just lmb f agg when you hear it. Is there sth. like this for earth sf?

the rhythm is as the key presses appear on screen, but slightly before (cause input delay, ping etc..) use the knockdown training in F12, you won't have to worry at all about focus issues and can just focus on maintaining your ani cancel :)

Thx a lot. Didn't knew about the kd test for no focus probs. Actually i hope/belive that i shouldn't have that much focus Problems (60%Critrate + Max short cd Soul should do) but it ill help me for other classes as well.

Why do earth sf go colossus over ancestral? I'm gearing an sf alt and I'm curious about that. Also I will be going burst build. Thanks for the video btw

I haven't actually tried Ancestral yet or found any information on how it is vs colossus. My best guess would be synergy with others gear (long soul + dragon + holy fire). When you have this gear, Focus Chi burst become insane especially in sb. With Ancestral you don't get the 1000% modifiers on Kingfist first hit, so that's a lot of dps loss there already. Even with Dragon Bracelet, Kingfist doesn't proc as often with Ancestral so you'll be losing out there too. The extra 2s on Dragonfury isn't all that good either. If you used Riftwalk and Revelation Mystic Badge to spam whirlwind for the 5s reduction, it could be interesting. but the DPS loss in Frost Stance is still a lot. If you're going burst i'd stick to Colossus, Dragon bracelet and long cd soul

if u have over 180ms. macro RMB + F. procs better (imexperience) and avoid getting Carpal Tunnel/injuries. Divine Dragon all the way. burst over 500k for the duration of Soul Burn

I am an earth sf since it was released on EU and just play because it is way more fun than ice, imo. I wish I saw this before getting my Dragon bracelet a few days ago and now wanting to change to Tiger :( I am stuck on what to upgrade at the moment though. Is it best to get my soul up from 8, Baelful 10-12 or just grab octa gems xD Different people I talk to say different things. I really want to get some BT stuff like soulshields and the elemental accessories, but it is hard to get into a group with pugs when I have never done it.

Dragon is still a viable choice. I just personally prefer and seem to get better results using Tiger. I would get your weapon up first to Bale 12 then Raven 3 before soul or octas. Gems don't make that much of a dps difference, so prioritise weapon. There is a discord for raid recruitment where you can buy raid gear or look for a group. maybe try that. :) you can find the link on the bns reddit

Does the RMB F RMB F combo after BT gear do as much damage as the combo you use pre BT gear or more?

Extromix RMB F does slightly more and builds Chi Stacks faster

It's mainly coz the bt gear will fix most of your focus problems. You wont be able to do this rotation without bt accesories coz of your focus

True, but ice is boring as hell for me. The gap isn't large enough between the two that people should disregard earth. Play what you enjoy
