Elderly lady and her dog get their yard cleaned up!

G'day friends,
On today's adventure, we picked up where we left off last week (link to that video below). This was a pretty satisfying, no-frills clean up job, in part due to this being a revisit. With the harder tasks such as clearing out the debris and obstacles having been completed last year, we had much smoother sailing this time round. That said, the job still presented several challenges, in particular mechanical trouble due to some rookie mistakes by yours truly! My client and her dog were very happy with the results :)

That wasn't sky-scraper tall but the matting looked to be really dense. How nice that it was an upgrade of the last round of work and that it is becoming a smooth, normalized yard. Victory indeed.

Every time I see a yard opened up like that, it's like a big breath of fresh air. I see your cute, little supervisor really liked it. What a change. I can't wait for the next one. You can't really tell just how big the yard is until you get it all trimmed and cleaned up. It was bigger than it looked. Lol. Another amazing job. I hope God blesses you and your family every day. You are an amazing person.

From chaos, Order. Your videos helps calm my mind. It's great therapy I rewatch a few on the regular. Yep it's our cats will SIT and watch the tiny man , you speed up and I stopped your vids when I watch the noise from this is also soothing. Another amazing transformation, Sean! Wouldn't Bermuda be a better choice than Kikuyu & Couch? It loves the heat & spreads but not like that! Of course Bermuda is brown in winter but it looks like green carpet the rest of the year. Many of the same plants in San Antonio, Texas. Our grass is nothing like your couch grass. It’s more fragile, burns in the summers and would take years to ever reach the height of the grass we have seen you cut. You have our deepest admiration and oftentimes our sympathy 😢. What a machine! Lovely of you to help out our elders 😊 I love watching your videos! I used to do in home aged care and now do in home disability support. Just wondering if any of the people you've helped out have been referred to "My Aged Care" or "NDIS"? Both are the government agencies that fund independent living. I would say after an assessment this person would absolutely get a package that included regular lawn maintenance. Or perhaps their current package is outdated and they need to let them know they need more help. I know a lot of elderly are stubborn when it comes to asking for help, but a lot just don't know who to ask. Can most certainly be a bit of a slog with NDIS but My Aged Care are general easier to deal with! Definitely helps to have an advocate with you in both cases though if you can although waiting lists for public ones can be lengthy. Tell them to bring it all up with their GP and they will get the ball rolling for them and refer them on. Just thought I'd bring that up in case it helps anyone! 😊

Great point. In fact I had this conversation with the client when I was done. She had never heard of NDIS, and in my opinion that is a failing on a lot of people in her life that should be connecting those who need it to support agencies, especially GPs
