Dan, are you going to have another blade review to post anytime soon. You are a great reviewer, I enjoy hearing your take on all sorts of knives. The Shirogorov reviews you have done have finally got me to the point that I ordered my first Shirogorov, a F3. My budget is pretty tight right now so I had to start there. Thanks. I look forward to seeing more from you soon.

Once I bought my first Shirogorov, a Model 95 Natural with SRBS and Elmax, it was immediately joined by another the next week, this time a 95T with SRBS and S30V. After dozens of midtechs and ZT's and CRK's and Spydercos, I had found my perfect knife. I sold all my ZT's and midtechs. I kept a couple CRK's, because Sebenza's are good for places where a flipper might freak someone out, and... they're awesome knives. But Shirogorovs are the pinnacle, for me. My ideal EDC's and tactical carry's are Mod 95's, F3's, 111's. My grail at the moment, the one custom I want above all others is the Sergey Shirogorov custom Baikal, or failing that, an Icebreaker. The only other knives I'm interested in checking out are Rocksteads, or perhaps a 2.0 Bodega or Glimpse from Todd Begg.

You can order a new shirogorov knife on their site for much less than 750$, but you have to wait a year or so before it is made and sent to you. The price for this model with the same configuration (steel and handle) had been 300$ before it was discontinued. Great review! Thank you very much for the video:)

+Serguey Gorokhov My pleasure, Serguey. Thank you for watching. Interesting to hear what the cost is direct from the maker. I'd love to pick one of these up for $300.

A great review of a collectible. The question for many is, "Am I a collector?" because using this knife for EDC doesn't make much sense because of its value. I'm sure many admirers would love to own a Shirogorov, but very few would use it, despite its obviously high functionality. Thanks for the overview of the beautiful, now discontinued, 95T.

Mitchell Delmar it is not discontinued as of november of 2016

You're right - at the time, though, I think they had suspended production. The recent models don't have the satin finish blade unfortunately. It's a grey stonewash.

Wondering if you can take it apart and do your own maintenance like Sebenza. BTW, it is just stunningly beautiful! !

Its really hard to get this knife in Russia. After order you will wait it at least one year maybe longer)))

+ivanovfarit Interesting, Ivan. It's tough to find these here in the States (new at least) although the secondary market is pretty robust.

They're extremely nice but I do think they are overpriced. If I were to have a rich uncle leave me his fortune, I'd have no problem buying one again but until that happens.....

+The Modern Neanderthal Thanks for watching, Nick. Yes they are expensive (and possibly overpriced). I am glad I got to check it out.

What you have here is a piece of steel for the blade and a few pieces of Tungsten for the handle. $750 for a knife from Commieland? Anyone willing that pay that should call me. I have some second hand Al Gore carbon credits I can give you a hell of a deal on.
@Bladereviews9 жыл бұрын
+Amos Soma To each their own. I really enjoyed this knife. It's beautifully made. I do not deny that it is uber expensive.
