4:17 is literally one of the most intense moments i've ever seen from a soap. it's a really scary callback to the moments before the belt scene where she's begging him to forgive her and he's just standing there like a cement pillar. he gaslit her for months over her affair with patrick when she didn't even cheat. she literally thought he was dead for over a year, and he taunted her for ot constantly instead of just asking for the truth outright and forgiving her. i don't blame blair for being scared to tell him the truth because she knows full well what he's capable of.

I so agree with this assessment. Todd is intimidating and has already shown her that he can be abusive. He wouldn't talk to her about what he saw but instead was intent on punishing her but not letting her know why. This was after Vicki told him they all thought he was dead and Blair had grieved terribly. Todd can be such an SOB at times.
