Blake and Carly's Surprise Proposal

On October 9, 2014, my boyfriend,now fiance, surprised me with the best proposal I could have ever dreamed of! I was completely shocked and am beyond blessed and excited!!
I thought the surprise was the beautiful jewelry armoire he designed and made me for our two year anniversary...boy was I wrong.

I think the MOST telling part of this entire video was when this gentleman uses his shirt to clean her makeup away. The piece of furniture is amazing and it was an incredibly clever way to propose, but that one little detail just screams how much he truly cares about her. Congrats!

This is the first video proposal I have seen that went viral that actually impressed me. Most just involve a lot of money or some treatment that he will never be able to live up to. But this.... this is wonderful love. That is a true labor of love, and she will have a great husband!

He is so incredibly thoughtful! First, with the beautiful chest he built for her! Then, filling it with things he knew she'd like! As if that wasn't enough....... "Let me know how you want the mirror and I'll screw it in. I have dividers if you want them for the drawers. I'll hang the hooks when you tell me precisely where you want them! You can pick the wedding band because I wasn't sure if you would want this, this or that!" He's a dreamy catch! He puts his whole heart into every little thing that he does! She's a lucky girl! He will treat her like a queen for the rest off his life! How cute, that the bride to be gasped with delight when she pulled nutrigrain bars out of the drawers as if they themselves were diamonds!! Carly, found the news item on my Yahoo page. I had to come to KZbin to see the whole thing. I had tears running down my face while watching this. Both of you and Blake's upbringing show in this video. Thoughtful, caring, unselfish young people. Wow. I predict a long and happy marriage. Blake was so sweet. Little things like undoing your earring to show how the drawer works and wiping your face with his shirt, really made me cry and smile at the same time. I can’t believe I just stumbled upon this video. It is so incredibly sweet. I have watched it several times and have marveled at their genuineness and unpretentiousness. I LOVE it every time he is so nonchalant when she learns something else about the jewelry armoire. His response is, “I hope that works for you.” It was so cute. He is so excited to show her all of the variations he has thought about and dividers that he can build into the armoire for her. And, she is so grateful and proud of him and awe-struck. Just a lovely couple with mutual love for each other. You can easily see how much he adores her. His moving of her hair away from her face. His comfort in taking off one of her earrings. And when he wiped her happy tears with his shirt - it is priceless. I wish them the very best. I sure was hoping that they would have posted their wedding. I would have loved to watch that! This was pure and sweet and innocent and sincere and full of love. Blessings on this adorable, sweet couple.

She gets excited about a custom built jewelry box, food items, and the sketched plans for the the box. He proposes to his GF in a wife beater shirt and ball cap. Yes, it's obvious... these are my people. Most guys would consider the ring enough. He spent hours upon hours on planning, designing, building, and probably re-working and building again. I build things like this, so I know how much time can be spent on something so customized like this. And I'll bet he spent most of that time knowing how much it would mean to her. Absolutely priceless. These are the people who make America great. I hope you guys are doing great.
