In fact the movie would have been shut down and he would have been dealt with. Its not 20 years ago, she's not a small celebrity, she's very vocal about women's rights and protections. So it doesn't make sense that she comes out now about supposed abuse from him. Like all narcissists when they feel their little false image falling apart, she is scrambling for people to believe the lies she has created surrounding her public image. Probably started with that interview resurfacing of her being a bitch to that female interviewer. People turned on her so fast and that was just as this film was being promoted. She's feeling her star crash in the public eye. As someone who cant stand the pedestal celebrities are put up on and narcissists in general...personally I'm loving the downfall of people like her. It also brings light to how narcissists work and people can recognize them more in their every day life a lot better now, because of women like Blake, Amber Heard and so on. Hopefully the age of celebrity worship is coming to an end.

I think she's posturing. In the legal field it's a common tactic. You hope to instill fear in someone and then bate them into settling. Only problem is, Justin's image has been so tarnished he has nothing to lose.. and from the looks of it, based on my takeaway after reading his entire suit against the NYT, he's going to bring down the house so to speak. He isn't going to settle and his lawyer has said as much. Blake ripped out the carpet from under him and in short, stole the project from him and extorted him... Blake and her team did themselves no favor by editing and doctoring those texts either. Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus. Once a liar, always a liar... in court credibility matters... once you lose credibility, you're open to scrutiny. We shall see how this all unfolds!

After watching the film, but before knowing the details of the drama, there were certain parts of the movie that stood out to me and took away from the film: the soundtrack that didn’t run at the same time”speed “ of emotions of the story, the wardrobe (it’s not clearly established why she has such a sexy style, eccentric yes, as an artist, but not sexy tops and the shows really stood out. And honestly, the rooftop dialogue was strange, I was way more interested in her dialogue with Atlas but there wasn’t equal time given to their relationship and the dialog on the rooftop was so angsty for complete strangers. Why does she hang out in roofs? If we knew more as an audience we would be more likely to play along that she would have such a conversation with a stranger. Also there were no sexy glances and no tension, it was all just a conversation to get to the sexy stuff. It was weird. Needless to say it’s become apparent that there three things were her ideas!

Not only did he not badmouth her during promoting the film, he praised her. Even after she prohibited him from being around her at the premiere and refused to do press with him. Which caused others to unfollow him, an award to be revoked and his agency to drop him. If she hadn’t filed a legal complaint, he would have stayed quiet presumably, about all of it and continued to take the high road because he didn’t want to ruin his reputation or get negative press. Maybe I’m wrong. It’s unfortunate for everyone. The film could have done better if they had promoted the film together.

@@evat514 coming from someone who has worked in PR, this may be due to the amount of money Blake/Ryan are paying their PR agents for "crisis management"/public perception management during all of this. Part of my job as a PR agent was to pitch and place articles/article ideas to different outlets. And sometimes if it was really needed, WE would pay the outlets money to get the placements necessary. I imagine they're working overtime right now to flood as many popular outlets as possible with their personal spin on things, so that it looks like that's the majority opinion. Have not seen the movie and she is the reason I won’t see it. This is a shame. Won’t be able to see anything she or husband Ryan puts out any more. I will not be able to get past their arrogance and personality to enjoy any project.
