To be clear: she's coming across terribly in most of these clips, but I will say, I think a lot of people are overreacting to the friendship bracelet thing. I don't really think it's weird that she didn't want to put it on with her couture gown while walking down the carpet, and at least she thanked them for it and complimented it. It probably would've been better if she had put it on then subtly slipped it off further down the press line, but overall, I think people getting mad at that is an example of people already disliking someone and looking for evidence to further their dislike.

I had a "friend" (close coworker) like that, who would purposely try to embarrass me in front of other people. And I would switch it up and call her out and smile just like she did. I think the majority of this is just cringy humor and well intentioned social missteps that miss the mark than bullying. Celebrities live in a completely different world and it’s honestly a miracle that not more of them become sociopaths. This is just her attempt at humor to navigate the social dynamics that come with so many people interviewing you and monetizing on your image, your voice, and your world view. Feeling social anxiety is ridiculously common and can result in these types of unintentional missteps which is compounded by the cameras and the audience. Many use humor to try to diffuse this anxiety which can go awry just as easily. It’s a bad and cringy approximation of humor but I think that’s all. Celebrities often don’t want to do countless interviews and can feel annoyed with being forced to be there which can be misdirected at the interviewers unintentionally. An example of that is how she boycotted Olivia Rodrigo (who was a Tay fan) after she became more popular with her Sour album. She created the whole "plagiarism" drama just to get money from Olivia and ruin her image. Now that Sabrina Carpenter is doing good I have no doubt that Taylor will try to do the same to her 🤷‍♀️

I think her humour is similar to Ryan, but unlike Ryan she doesn’t pull it off successfully in interview, it doesn’t seem natural and comes off as mean. Other times she is just being a bit cringe.
