Reasonable reading, a nice voice, and fair characterisation, but calm down a tad, old bean .. you know, don't 'act' the part of an actor acting what he imagines the character might be - be 'it'. Why it is so remarkably difficult for modern English actors to get the casual insouciance of the 'right sort' in Port Out Starboard Home parts, I do not know; yet, there it is, in trying too hard to 'get it', it often comes across as harsh, rather than confidently careless. Don't speak to the microphone as a pal, for instance, just look down your nose at it ...
