Good old Avon. Paul Darrow was a bit like Henry Winkler in Happy Days. The moment he took on his iconic role, he was the minor character who was destined to become the star, the one everyone remembers. See also: Johnathan Harris in Lost in Space. When the character and the actor are a perfect match, they rise to the top, no matter who is meant to be the star of the show. RIP, Mr Darrow, you were sublime!

Paul Darrow was a very fine actor. He appears briefly in Maelstrom, I seem to remember and he has a dark, Saturnine, quality that would have been ideal for so many roles. in the 80s and 90s unfortunately the same faces seemed to pop up again and again in TV roles (period or contemporary dramas) and a lot of talent was overlooked. Joan Sims, another example. Perhaps some issue with typecasting in both cases.

Sally Knyvette was in an advert, but I don't know what the product was. She played the mother if teenagers who rolled their eyes when she said music festivals weren't as good as when she was young. Then shocked them by adding "We didn't wear clothes".

@@vinvass2674 I was glad Travis was thrown down the hole on Star One when Avon shoots him pleased as I was to see Travis killed off and not the arch-enemy Servalan herself I have always said Travis should have been killed off in a blaze of glory at the climax of season 1 and also the arch-enemy Servalan should have been teamed up with a new lackey with a new name like Carnell who was in season 2 episode weapon instead of recasting Travis also to have cast Brian Croucher as a completely different henchman with a new name would have done season 2 of B7 more trade than what we got which was terrible

I always think of Travis as Stephen Greif and I have said for 40 years since the debut of B7 series 1 of B7 really should in the final episode have killed Travis off in a blaze of glory and then series 2 had the arch-villain Servalan herself acquiring a new lackey with a new name like Smith Jones Chandler Norton or even Fenner . I think the character of Carnell would have been abloody grand replacement as a lackey for the arch-enemy Servalan instead of recasting Travis which never worked and it never pays to recast characters with different actors
