S-Video was like one of tha 90's and early 2000's version of HDMI but a more clear analog versions of it. i kinda deeply regret not taking advantage of having stuff captured on S-Video tha whole time. i would encourage everyone including u to give S-Video a shot for those non Progressive Scan DDR mixes if u can get them to work on y'alls respective devices. not sure if S-Video works on Elgato but i know it works on my AverMedia analog capture device

@@blakedmc1989DDRHD The video quality doesn't really matter to me that much. I'm not surprised if the video quality is low considering most PS2 games run at 360p and 480p.

@@quickenedddr2461 yea pretty much i just wanted to see how much better it would be with S-Video and i don't even know if anybody has done a DDR console play with S-video yet maybe someone did but it's not gunna be how my gameplays would go in tha long run unless i get highlights from my streams more often which it's where i'll mostly be using a capture card for so i wanted to give ya a lil taste! omg i have so many leftovers to get y'all a heads up of what's been happenin' to me lately

thanks! oh btw tha capture card gameplay isn't a forever youtube thing for now on unless it's highlights from my livestreams. i thought i might as well treat ya with a direct feed capture gameplay for once and sorry for tha long wait, i've been doing livestreams on DLive and waiting on more parts for my old dedicated editing software PC so i can continue to do more uploads! btw hope u're safe atm! i know it's been ruff in life and in youtube sadly, but tha gameplay of tha song describes our current situation overall

Great! I have an S-Video capture card, but it only records at 30fps. Also, is the cable your using one with S-Video, AND Composite? If it is, I can see some visual artifacts from Composite like dot crawl. If you get one with just S-Video, then those artifacts won't be there, and the picture will overall be a lot cleaner. If you ever want even better video quality in the future at some point, you can get Component cables and a Component capture card. Good DDR skills as well!

yea my PS2 cable is S-Video and composite and tha reason i got it because it's a better setup instead of just splitting composite and it's a setup mostly used for my streams on DLive going forward! now i would love component but my CRT doesn't have component or S-Video, it just have composite so i basically use tha composite portion to my CRT while my S-Video is going straight to my capture which surprisingly works! oh and it's my 1st every capture test with S-Video oh and for sound, i did use a distribution amplifier splitter. also i need to change some settings in OBS recording so it can look slightly cleaner

@@bionyx6368 i have a question, do u also use AmaRecTV 3.10? if so, there could be a chance where u could fine tune ur analog capture device to even get S-Video working in 60fps but u'll have to record it through OBS Studio and make sure ur capture's Deinterlacing is set on Yadif 2x on OBS here's tha software i did my fine tuning for my analog capturing www.videohelp.com/software/AmaRecTV also my capture device, i just only have tha driver installed and not tha actual software which tha capture card comes with and just adjust tha rest through AmaRecTV

what model? Slim or Fat Model? if Fat Model, those things are more reliable than slim models. also Memory Cards are cheap on Ebay
