You right, it is a beetle know as Scarabaeus sacer, common name "sacred scarab". Scarabs were popular amulets and impression seals in ancient Egypt. Scarab amulets were frequently wound into a mummy's bandages to protect the deceased and ensure rebirth. Personally, I think they used this beetle for the reason and history I mentioned above.

These are made with skateboarding in mind, once the skater rips through the first layer of canvas it reveals the suede underneath. Dont think people should skate them though the resale value is going to be insane😂💯
