Hey guys, sorry about the re-upload. There were a few silly mistakes on my end. I misspelled Ringo Starr as "Ring Star", transformation as "tranformation" and in the older version of the video, it said that the Eiffel Tower can be seen behind Pigeon Man. That was not the Eiffel Tower (damn you Hey Arnold Wiki!). I was called out on these mistakes, by you the viewer, so I apologize. I actually felt pretty embarrassed by the whole ordeal lol Anyways, hope you enjoy the video! Fun fact: we had this video planned and wriiten since like April x)

I’m just more annoyed with how they tried to present it. It could have been that as a former war soldier he saw the hardships of reality and wanted to make a future where that wouldn’t be a thing(well, the killing and all that, life is no doubt really hard to live through at times) and instead wanted to spread kindness and hope and unity by saying he wants to befriend anyone he can meet. Why of all things they must go down that the character was a persona to hide a history of lies?

I thought of Jimmy Savile when I heard that. For those who don't know, in Britain during the 70's and 80's the BBC would host a Saturday tea-time show called _Jim'll Fix It_, hosted by Jimmy Savile. People (99% of whom would be children) would write in to do whatever they wanted, Having lunch on a roller coaster, meeting famous people, being a fireman, finding out how snooker balls were made etc. During his life, Savile was regarded as a lovable eccentric and national treasure, being of first name terms with the likes of Elvis Presley and receiving numerous recognitions and accolades, including even a knighthood. Posthumously, it was revealed that he had molested many young girls.

People will still be talking about how Mr. Roger's was the best possible neighbor of all time, I guarantee it. In the same way people still love and praise Gene Wilder for his role in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, in which he improvised the poem during the Tunnel Scene, in which literally every other actor on set thought he was going insane, and he also improved the scene near the end where he yells at Charlie, telling him he lost, and how he gets nothing. All improvised by Wilder himself, so the actor who played Charlie was legitimately scared in that scene. It's amazing how he could improv so well, not once in a movie, but for 2 great scenes, in a classic, beloved movie that's still beloved even now. Same with Mr. Roger's. They'll both always be beloved icons, no matter the time period, because both Fred Rogers and Gene Wilder were both able to transcend their roles, and legitimately felt like they were right there with us, as our neighbors, and felt like family members. Oh man, I remember first hearing that Barney rumour. I was in the nurses resting room at elementary school (it was my favourite place to go and I often faked sick just to go there) with some other kid. I think I actually mildly recall that this time I was actually feeling sick, but I still did what I normally did; chatted away with the other kid (if there was any) when the nurse wasn't around. Somehow, Barney came up in the conversation, and the kid said "Hey, did you know that drugs were found in Barney's tail? And he cursed at a kid for stepping on it?" Me, being young, naive, and gullible, believed everything he told me. I even told my parents, and for some reason they didn't tell me it was bull. Until I was around 14 I still believed the rumour. What was so compelling about Mr. Rogers being in the military wasn't so much that we couldn't believe he was as nice as he portrayed himself to be, but that he was able to sort of "atone" for his past sins in the military and give so much good to the world in spite of it. It was inspiring to hear a story about someone who killed many different people go on and create one of the most wholesome TV shows ever put to film. The rumor was an inspiring thought which showed that despite the amount of bad things you've done you still have a chance to turn it all around. It was the idea that you don't necessarily have to be good from day one to be good overall that made the rumor so compelling. At least for me anyway
