From what I remember Barack Obama is actually a cool guy to hang out with? My mom hung with him for 5 minutes before he gave a speech in her school here in Chicago. Granted this is way before he was President but from what I understand hes a very chill and friendly guy.

A movie I loved as a kid that I still do: Some of my earliest movie memories are of "Planet Of The Apes" and "The Poseiden Adventure". Loved them both. Still love POTA. Poseiden, not as much (watching as an adult, I found the dialogue to be 90% shouting), but, as with Paul and "The Goonies", the nostalgia is still strong.

I saw both The Irishman and The Killers of the Flower Moon in the theater. And the former didn't feel like a long movie at all (despite being a few minutes longer). Drawing on what Matt said, it probably had better pacing.

Another reason not to have an intermission is half the movies these days are released on or very quickly go to streaming, where people can just pause it whenever.

Hey Matt, what's your opinion on the Velvet Underground? I often heard that the legend that they only sold 1000 albums but every person who bought it started a band. What's your opinion of their music, their influence, and their lasting legacy?

That's a garbled quote from Brian Eno. He said that while the album sold only 30,000 copies in it's early years, everyone who bought one of those 30,000 started a band. A quote I do not think was meant to be taken literally, just that it was very influential, and the numbers do not seem to match reality as it had sold 200,000 copies from it's release in 1967 to 1971. Sorry for not being Matt.
