Today, reptiles and amphibians are among the most vulnerable species on Earth, with 20% of reptiles and 40% of amphibians threatened with extinction. But with even more reptile and amphibian species described each year, some could go extinct before we even know they exist! Join Travis Rainey of Central Michigan University as he discusses his research on Michigan's state threatened Blanchard's cricket frog. This presentation was part of the 2023 Virtual Herpetology Conference: Conservation Concerns and Extinction Avoidance on February 24, 2023. The moderator for this conference was Ellen Holste, Community Program Manager at Pierce Cedar Creek Institute located in Hastings, Michigan.
