Blancmange were huge in the 80s in cities in the USA. New York, L.A., Boston, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, Philly, and Chicago. Loved everything from the UK in the entire 80s decade. Small country with the most musically talented people on Earth along with NYC :)
@PalaniRides16 күн бұрын
I believe all those cities had independent progressive stations that had a pipeline directly coming from Great Britain. We in Southern California had 91X in San Diego, and right up the freeway in Los Angeles was the mighty KROQ. Both had their in-house English deejays also. San Diego had the great Steve West, and LA had Richard Blade. Oh what great times and great music. ... A lot of that music would have been even bigger if conservative, craven Top 40 radio had given them a chance.

An Egyptian dancing cat referred me to the original version... Pure magic from the Middle East gentlemen!! We have a gem buried in the sands almost 40 years after its release.

If I could live on the ceiling for a day I'd enjoy seeing my visitors' faces when they come in and see an upside down me and my furniture all situated up there.

I love reading comments like these. It gives the songs to which they are submitted on some kind of everyday history that we would otherwise not know about. It also made me look up the old bar in Brixton and see what has become of it. Thanks for the comment

I found this song from a video about 80s synth pop and I felt it sounded similar to Camel by Camel a little bit (the ankha song, also another 80s song) and now that I’m listening to this version instead of the one on Spotify, this is definitely the secondary song. Also I can just tell this dude is British. Why do their teeth really look like that over there?
