Its pretty well known around the UK as the longest placename, but other than being in Wales I had no idea where it was until the train I was on stopped there en-route to Holyhead ferry terminal and I looked up and saw the station name sign!

Not sure if there's a mention of this further down the list or not but the actual longest place name in an English speaking nation is described as follows: Hawkes Bay Tourism's Internet site says that Porangahau in New Zealand's South Island, "boasts the longest place name in the world: Tetaumatawhakatangihangakoauaotamateaurehaeaturipukapihimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuaakitanarahu, officially entered in the Guinness Book of Records." That stretches the name to 92 letters.

Not bonnet picnic, boot picnic. Bonnet's in the front with the engine, boots in the back. My wife is Britsh, half Welsh. Heard her say that name many times before. She speaks some Welsh, but growing up it was discouraged in school she says.

Nice one Juan! Glad you saw the statue of Nelson too. There are some really big spiders living inside that! If you're still on Anglesey, Parys Mountain, Holyhead Mountain (view of Ireland and the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland on a good day) and a beach like Newborough (£4 parking fee) would be a good mix. So much history that you could spend a life time exploring Britain and never see it all. I got to England and Scotland for two short weeks in 2015 but if I win the lotto I will get a motor home and spend what ever it takes to mooch around the countryside. I bet the average Brit just takes it all for granted but when your from a country with less than 200 years of colonial history and barely 700 years of any human residence at all, then the old countries are simply awe inspiring.

Luggage area at rear of car is referred to as "the boot". The bonnet is the front cover, usually over the engine. Try not to put "gas" (or LPG as it is known in UK) in a petrol car!

Down in South Wales there’s a place with NO English vowels. Ynysybwl. (sounds like Uhnuhsuhbool) BUT Y & W are vowels in Welsh. If you think it’s a strange language, just try Irish Gaelic.

Yes our trains in the UK seem quiet compared to your massive powerful trains in the US puts ours to shame haha. Wish we would import your locomotives from the states than Europe. At one point we use to manufactor our own trains. I love the classic F Units built by GE and E Units built by EMD of yours. The train in this clip was manufactured by Bombardier Transportation. If you did not now the train operator was Virgin Trains type of train was either Super Voyger 221 or Voyget 220 not quite the Starship.
