yes my first colareb, it's been on a Casio, on a Sinn, on some Heuers and Rolexes and the watches come and go but the strap stays. It has traveled through the world with me on my wrist. Due to Corona and wearing more watches on its OEM straps (long story short - bought newer watches with better straps/bracelets) it spends its days on the windows board on a cool solar-powered Casio and as time went by the sun bleached to one strap-part more than the other and now I have a two-tone strap, looks very cool. In 2022 I hope the strap and I will continue to discover the world

I have an Artem strap. It's gorgeous. With the QR spring bar, I can switch it back and forth between my Hamilton Field Khaki (black dial), Hamilton Field Explorer (white dial), Omega Moonwatch (black dial) and Breitling Super Ocean (orange dial). It looks super on all of them. With and 8-1/4 inch wrist, the "long" strap is perfect for me. I'd recommend it for any sports watch; I think it may be too brawny for a thin dress watch. Speaking of OEM, the markup for OEM straps is ridiculous. I went into the Omega store and they had a rubber strap not as nice as the one I got from Strap Tailor for $60, for nearly $300, and a Nato for $170 that wasn't any better than a $36 Blushark.

The sailcloth on my Blancpain Fifty Fathoms is wonderful and really durable, this was a interesting comparison! The only downside on the OEM Blancpain sailcloth strap is the price but it is still worth it, but then again for a watch from the oldest watchmakers and for a premium watch it is what is expected. However I got the blue Fifty Fathoms in titanium and I would like to try it on a black strap and for just trying the BP strap is bit high :D

Great comparison of the two. I’m Artems biggest fan, using them every day at work, playing with the kids and even when I go swimming. Perfect everyday strap! Your video is just as good as the strap. I just recently bought Blancpain ceramic Bathyscaphe. It comes with their sail clothe strap as you pointed out it's high quality. My problem is they don't wear well on smaller wrists. I've been trying to get what they call a short strap version. But haven't been successful. Your alternative is interesting. But I need 23mm between the horns. I also don't need the Pin buckle at all since Blancpain provided my strap with a near indestructible ceramic One. So since this is an older review I'll reach out and see what Artem has to offer now. Thanks for the very balanced review.

You’re welcome. Yes Artem do short straps as well and you could possibly swap the buckle over ? Hope you find what you’re looking for.

The quick release spring bars are well worth the extra fee as I scratched an expensive watch trying to get a tool into the very tight space to release the new original strap on a seiko spring drive which would not have happened if it had the quick release spring bars as available with the Artem, otherwise a very high quality strap and the spring deployant clasp is a pleasure to use.

Great video and descriptions! I really appreciated the the side-by side comparison of the Blancpain to the Artem since I really love the Blancpain's strap. I just ordered my own Artem for my Spinnaker Fluess which I wanted a strap like this to go with it and now I found one thanks to you and another channel showcasing Artem - I would never have found it if it wasn't for you guys! Thank you! What's even better, is Artem's customer service since I initially ordered my strap with the white stitch but after ordering quickly wanted to changed the white stitch for the grey and emailed the Artem team to ask if I could adjust the order. They emailed back the next morning gladly supporting my request. Now I am very excited to get mine in a few weeks and think I'll be ordering the 20mm for my Bulova Lunar Pilot!

I really like these Arten Straps. However it would be nice to have those curved pins demonstrated together with the straps. I do believe that my watch could do with one of these straps but with curved pins. Arten does not guarantee that they are compatible so it would be nice if you could make a video about the subject. This for those in need of the curved pins.

@@mracekproductions I got one and I LOVE IT. It has made wearing the watch daily so much more practical. I got the XL and wear it over my flight suit, or tighten it down for my bare wrist. 10/10 product.
@rustyshackleford173 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I really don't care about having a buckle coming with the strap. I usually like to stick with an OEM or bought a custom one for the particular watch. Spring bars are a nice addition to have, but they're so dirt cheap, I wouldn't worry. What I really wish Artem straps to have is to have options for a non-tapered strap and a longer size (ie 120/125 and 80/85). Then I'd buy a couple.
@mracekproductions3 жыл бұрын
My point was that someone looking for an OEM strap option may not have an OEM buckle, thus charging $300 for one is insane. There’s also 2 options with the straps, quick release or standard spring bars...I’ve bought cheap ones before, they bent and broke by the way. I believe more length options are in the pipeline, but, this is a small company, so ordering multiple options is an expensive outlay.

I have both the straps, honestly Blancpain is on another level of quality even from the videos you can tell the stitchings are worlds apart. I bought the Artem straps so technically i paid a fair bit for free straps they have been sending out to the youtube reviewers. And at the rate they are sending the free straps to the reviewers, i am confused to whether are they worth that much, or are we paying a chuck to marketing. Don’t get me wrong, Artem straps are great quality but you are clearly biased thinking they can match up with a Blancpain. My final say: Blancpain sailcloth are works of art, Artem just nice good quality straps.

I really like Artem straps but if honest, Blancpain strap is far more refined aesthetically, and better made. Not a fan of all the badging or the eco unfriendly over emphasis on packaging. Just my opinion, I only have one artem strap so perhaps I need more experience with different straps from them

Wait a minute -- Actual sailcloth is unsuitable for making watchbands, so they use a different material and call it sailcloth? Gullible, anyone? Not for me, thanks.
@wintermute8315 Жыл бұрын
Like most naming conventions around watch straps, 'Sailcloth' refers to the style, not the materials, which have evolved over the years as more advanced processes are discovered. It's like complaining about a 'car' not being an actual horseless carriage. Silly.

Not a sailcloth guy here. They are stiff and somewhat cardboard looking. Artificial all the way through. Not extremely breathable and not very absorbent too. Very hard to clean with soap and not only clean water. The wrist sweaters like on a rubber straps. Hence the cleaning needed. Sailcloth also can get stained easily on chlorine for example from a swimming pool. As for Artem ….. they have sent tons of their straps all around YT and now I do feel like I’m about to throw up only when I read their name 🤢
