Agreed...why would anyone consider the OGWR to be anything other than a bunch of has been Dinosaur's. Big fan of the disruptors right now. Go LIV GOLF.

owgr is not golf. just eight white dudes who no one will ever remember when they are gone. the sad reality of the "country club gang" that has run the sport for decades.

@@54_Golf not sure I understand your response as it doesn't seem to correlate to my initial comments. I completely understand what Official World Gold Ranking is about, and it affects the opportunities available to golfers on the planet. The problem is that it's archaic, like quite a few things in golf, which has become stale and institutionalised. Golf as a whole is due for a renovation and LIV GOLF is one example of how it can be updated. Other concepts that could be embraced include a 12 or 14 hole match at club levels especially. This would help with growing demands on courses. It would allow more club members to join and more people playing on any given day, whilst being less physically demanding and more time efficient. In order for things like this to be considered people need to be willing to free their minds from the old, shackled ways of thinking. And this is why organisations like the OWGR, the R &A and the US PGA need to change. The old dead wood thinkers need to be removed and replaced with creative fresh critical thinking. Sure the standard old 18 holes can remain, but it can be added too. The best example of this would be cricket Cricket started out as one or two day thing, then Test Matches were added, then limited over cricket with the 50 overs per side and 20/20 cricket. Golf could do the same, but the old guard has gotta go.

@@markshepherd2779 change is necessary and is happening in front of our eyes. for example Joaco and Talors invites to majors. it takes time for change to be seen, but it’s happening.
