BLANIK KUP 2021 - Glider Precision Landing Competition - Sinj Airfield LDSS

On October 2nd 2021, the Blanik Cup was held at Sinj Airfield, known as Piket, organized by Aeroclub Sinj.
The Blanik Cup is a competition in precision glider landing. The goal of the competition is to land in a marked field, measuring 90 × 8 meters. 60 meters from the start of the marked field is the target line and in the center of that line is the bullseye. The amount of negative points is equal to the distance in centimeters from the bullseye, provided that the competitor has landed within the marked field. In case of landing outside the marked field, the competitor is disqualified. 14 pilots participated in the competition where only one actually landed and stopped in the marked field making him the winner and the rest disqualified. The competition was purely for the fun of it since there was no preparations for the competition. This also served as a prelude for the upcoming and much larger precision landing competition in two weeks with powered airplanes.

So much memories! I flew this plane when it was owned by the Dornier Flying club in the 1980ies. And met this plane again after decades when i ha Horse back hollidays in Sinj last year and this year!

seems they are all flying to fast? The yellow triangle is usually 41 kts....you could get slow by a few...since the tringle is based at AUW?
