I have an LG Stylo 5 and it didn't fix mine. But thanks anyway. It appears there is no way to fix the LG Stylo V. My previous Stylo actually had a toggle in the phone setting menu to leave screen on during call. The style of five doesn't have it. And even after messing with the proximity sensor no go

My Moto G5 it was just that the screen protector was old and the corners were curling up and the phone sensed as if it was near my ear. Hope this helps someone. Took the screen protector off and the screen stopped going black during calls.

My children are probably the sane speed as yourself.The problem is that my son is overseas serving in the military and my daughter is married and living on the east coast. What you should consider is that it's easy for you because you do these functions repetitiously. I'm lucky that I can clear the cache on my aps. But thank you for replying. I'll just have to keep trying to find some who has a video for everyone.
