Fixing Proximity Sensor Issue on Android Phones

If you are having issues with long calls on your android phone aka Proximity sensor issue while taking calls in this video I will try to solve that issue by changing the default google dialer to fix the proximity sensor issue that is found on many android phones now.

Main issue is actually the newer proximity sensors/AI accelerometer based implementation used for all the v shape/u-shaped notch/punch hole are poorly designed/calibrated in budget devices. They used to work reliably when we used to have thick Bezels in budget devices.

Thank you so much Sir. The fix is so easy and worthful for everyone who was facing issue with proximity sensor functioning. I Watched more than 50 videos to find the fix but didn't got any solution. Service centre was charging more than 1k to fix it but this video fixed this problem for free.

Mom was facing this issue to an extreme on her Realme device and it was really bugging her, so much so that she wished she had her Redmi Note 5 from years ago although this phone is way better in literally everything else. You can count on GeekyRanjit to address the actual things we need in our phones like cellular call quality and stuff. Thanks and Happy New year! P.S. I've been seeing some issues with screen going black during WhatsApp voice messages and not properly switching to the speakers instead of earpiece on some Android devices too.

After many months of hassle and trying different settings and apps (Kinscreen was supposed to work according to every post I found online, but it didn't for me), using this dialer as recommended in this video and disabling the prox sensor finally did the trick. Thank you for helping me fix a moto E30 🙏. Every call I made the screen went black, couldn't access the phone so had to wait for the other end to hang up before I could access anything. I installed Right dialer, made it the default dialer app and disabled the proximity sensor during calls, worked a charm!

I was literally facing this situation right now and was trying to find the possible cause of this. I'm using Realme 7 Pro During a call, the screen goes full black and I'm not able to interact with the phone until the call is disconnected. Because of this proximity sensor issue, the always on display keeps turning off automatically after a couple of seconds. Call it coincidence or fate, I opened KZbin and the first video I saw was on this same issue and that too by Ranjit sir Thank you so very much for this video sir.

I'm genuinely speaking about my story 29th Dec 2022. My POCO F1 2019 model connected with tws earbuds, lying flat on table, while i was having a conversation over the google meet audio call. As voice call was hung up, My screen turned up and as i was picking up my phone above from the table, Proximity sensor closed the screen because of my hand reflection, To this day my phone never woke up. Went to XIAOMI service centre (got response of motherboard replacement), Went to local hand repair hub in the city (got response of I.C. change, ultimately 6 hrs later final reply of motherboard replacement). Eventually let go of my 4 yr old master tech of 2019. Purchased Galaxy Z Fold 4. I'm so happy to see this issue being raised by the prominent tech reviewer of all time. what a legend. This fixed it. Had to disable proximity sensor in ap but it's fixed. Phe, it was so painful. If I got someone's messagebank I had to wait til it timed out before i could access my phone again
