Never heard of having 2 different chains for them. Also, I they never gave me a silencer when I enlisted so you could always hear people’s dog chains clinking 😂

One tag is on a smaller chain to be ripped off if you die so they can ID your body, while the other one stays on the body so they can find your body later.

If you die in combat they take your dog tags,’put em between your teeth and step on your bottom jaw. This jams it in between your teeth so your mouth stays open and the gases can escape
