One day, these dudes were touring and stopped in Indianapolis and played at a place called The House Coffee House. My friend and I ended up showing them the town after the show and we definitely lied about our age. This was circa 2003 or 2004 maybe. They were lovely dudes. Sorry for lying about our age. They were complete gentleman and we got hot chocolate downtown on the circle and never saw them again. Good times. This song still slaps.

I'll never forget seeing this band open for the Rejects when I was following the Van Whalen and Move Along tours. Truly excellent and nice guys. I have so many pictures with the drummer lol. ❤

Grew up in Wisconsin, Spent most of my time in Appleton. I learned about these guys after they broke up, at this time they were The Wildbirds. Both killer bands, and killer dudes! I started getting into the music scene at this point in 2007. Eventually opened up for The Wildbirds a few times with a band called The Brightsides, we were all around 13 years old (drummer was 11!). We covered "Come On" one time and The Wildbirds didn't look too thrilled... hahaha. Still a great time and an experience that I'll never forget!

Not nearly enough credit for this band. I got the chance to open up for them in 2002/03 when they were in San Antonio. Rocket Summer was on the bill too, but these guys were absolutely amazing. It's Happening and this track killed. Absolutely blew me away. Memories forever.

feel like they were ahead of there time with the sound, yea?
@TellEveryoneRecords8 жыл бұрын
Roger Dalzell, yeah, in some ways it was ahead of its time. It was really in line with albums like Copeland's first and Further Seems Forever's second. What I loved about Number One Fan was that they had a lot of great polish and refinement in their songwriting and production, especially for a band of relatively smaller stature.

Christopher Edmiston I absolutely loved this band and never quite understood why they weren't popular. Still love this album.

LoL, depends on the weather. Right now I think I'd rather be in Wisconsin then Montana. I don't think Wisconsin's as cold as it is here. :-)

These guys were great, their biggest mistake was signing to Pat's Record Company. I live in the town in Wisconsin where they are from and have played shows with a few of them, the only reason they gave up on Number One Fan and became the Wildbirds is because Pat's Record Company screwed them over and left them with no money and no way home.

People who hate a band cause they change from what they were originally just for the money needs to think. I mean tell me you'll keep the way you were signing before and refuse a multi-million contract to sing someone elses songs. Hell most people make bands cause they are good at it and they wanna make money for it. and singing someone elses songs is usually the way to go. though yes some bands did sound better before they became big. but so what. get over it
