That's pretty awesome. Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. My local grocery store I heard was getting a Stagg release. So I went over during lunch. They had Blanton's Gold instead. MSRP. $129,99 here. No Stagg but I was pretty jacked. Congrats.

No hate, I hope this channel keeps doing its thing. This video felt very inauthentic, like an episode of Pawn Stars or similar. He knew he would get it cuz he has a buddy at the store, but made it sound like it MIGHT be on the shelf. No one thought it was on the shelf. Then he "might need to find someone" but it is his buddy. No video of his buddy or the interaction or else everyone in the area would know who to hit up. Then Bad Axe "SCORES" a hard to find bottle. He didn't score. He built a relationship and someone held a bottle. Not a bourbon hunt video. Not really helpful for anyone who knows they need to build relationships to get good bourbon. Good for Bad Axe finding a bottle he didn't have, but this is not content that is interesting to me. We expect transparency from Bourbon companies. I also expect transparency from Whiskey Tubers. This video was scripted and not interesting in my opinion

NewAggie! Yo! No back door man. I buy a lot there. Got a tip that they had a couple. They hadn’t put them out yet, so an employee went to grab me one. In another grocery store just a couple of weeks ago I could’ve walked out with a Jack 10, 12, and a Blanton’s Straight from the Barrel, a Stagg, regular Blanton’s, Eagle Rare and EH Taylor small batch. I couldn’t afford to buy all of that even at msrp! I Just talk to the Spirits manager’s and learn when they normally receive deliveries and if it coincides with me being off of work, then I’ll go check. Grocery store’s are getting a lot of stuff in my area right now. A crap load of BT stuff and now getting more JD too. Cheer’s brother! 🥃🪓
