Her mom can believe in someone she has never seen and take the word of another man but not believe in her own daughter and her bloodline.

I would not have said anything to the mom if I were her. A vast majority of religious people are not in a place to understand. The most important thing is her grandaddy was healed and he acknowledged the truth.

So true. Most of us Christians just were blinded. Hence why I'm here watching ya ya. We have been bamboozled, Hoodwinked, lied to. And I will not discredit Jesus's Name. I am, however, acknowledging the power of my ancestors as well.

It’s so unfortunate that so many black ppl will discredit what their own ancestors will and can accomplish. Like are we not aware that many slaves were still praying to their own gods and ancestors under the guise of Christianity which was why their prayers were so powerful?! But I’m really glad she kept true to who she was and that her grandfather acknowledged it as well. 💚💚💚

I can literally cry listening to this post because I so wanted to help heal my best friend/cousin from cancer. I we found out at the start of the pandemic. She and I both were researching herbs and I myself was new on my spiritual journey and honestly didn’t know much of anything. Plus due to the pandemic money was very short and essential workers were stretched thin. It was my best friend/cousin who was open to self healing and I was her support. We did the best we could with what we knew to do but the pain was too much and we couldn’t afford herbs. I will set up an alter and honor her and also ask her to show me what herbs to use going forward. She is missed and I love her so much. She was truly my soulmate ( nothing freaky). RIP Ryan

I understand and feel you. My eldest sister had Ovarian cancer in 2002. I reached out to folk but my knowledge too was next to nil then. Not like now. I ended up with breast cancer in 2017. And I still feel what happened then prepared me for the pandemic. Keep learning

This story sort of breaks my heart bc 2 years before my daddy passed he asked me to move home to help. I did and started cooking him healthy meals bc my “mom 🙄” would just throw a frozen high salty dinner his way or fast food. I made him teas and everything. He was so vibrant do when he passed away it was so fast. I wish I knew more remedies or he better articulate the issue that made him pass way so quickly. I would have researched herbal remedies for that particular situation that caused his death. I made him go outside and sit in the sun for minimum of 15 minutes daily. After a while he loved his sun sessions. Made him read and do mind activities bc I told him he has to strain and use his brain bc older people get dementia. His mind was SHARP. I did other things as well but that one thing I wish I could have known in order to treat that particular illness ☹️

I think the daughter handled it well. When it comes to people who are sold out for Jesus, specifically the older generations who have held on to the Christian belief to get them through the toughest of times like the civil rights era, it’s to unbelievably to believe that anything but a Jesus could work a miracle. That’s the only thing that has been embedded in their spirits and all they’ve had to hold on to for so long. The granddad didn’t speak up because he is a believer in Jesus too. I’m sure it was difficult to be between the two lady’s. But because he experienced the healing, he knew the truth of what was used to get him well and so, he asked for it. Which was all the acknowledgment the granddaughter needed cause at the end of the day, it wasn’t about her, her mom, or Jesus, but about the healing powers granted to her for her granddad from her ancestors. Thanks for sharing this story.

I would’ve handled it the same way Vivian did. I would not give offerings to people who didn’t even come out and see about him bring him a meal give some money to make sure he got all the herbs and everything he needed. I would have just been grateful That my grandfather knew that it was my prayers herbs ancestor other spirits beings she may have asked for help and love that healed him and my mama! Smh! Just between us, I’m sure they weren’t praying as hard as she was for him! If they even really were praying at all. No doubt she was sent as the vessel to bring forth the healing. Body mind and spirit. I don’t know why people overlook the fact that, even when Jesus was here, he used dirt he use his spit ,and also after healing people he told the people taking care of the person he healed to give him food and drink, because he knew that healing is for mind, body and spirit you can’t leave it all to just talk. He put action with his word. Which is similar to many of the spiritual practices of now.
