My daughter went there , with a group from jr high school . St Louis Mo USA . She FaceTimed me when the bus pulled up .these kids ran up to the top and some one held the phone so I could watch Charlotte kiss the stone ! Amazing ! Thank you love you

Went there and it was awesome i was 9 though so I deff want to go back! Went to cork Galway and Dublin, hit the blarney castle, cliffs of Galway and the cave, a couple castles there too, Guinness factory and some churches, got to try super macs and went to a church with the nun with the middle finger that was super long that you could touch for good luck, and even brought back a knights sword from an antique shop! Hands down my favorite trip I’ve ever been on!

I’ve recently been looking into my mother’s side of the family (the Mccarthys) and found out about this castle. The history of the name is very interesting

The McCarthy led the Irish clans of South Kerry and West Cork to victory at the battle of Callan Glen in August 1261.
