Even seeing this little bit of the movie makes me realize what they've been going through each year. It's so much worse than I imagined.

I vowed to do this with them and started last year. My first watch of the movie I laughed a few times but mostly because of meta jokes from the podcast. This year will undoubtedly be worse.

@@MACROTAH I've seen PB2 twice, once as a blart side of the moon, grown ups two twice once as what I have termed "comfortably grown ups" which is grown ups 2 set to the wall, and sex in the city 2 once because I cannot fathom watching that movie again. comfortably grown ups is actually pretty great and much better than just watching the movie

The scene at 6:34 is what did it for me. The editing choices so blatantly and perfectly match up with the song. The rest can easily be chalked up to coincidence, but this one is just insanely well-synced

If anyone wants to get the same experience yourself and have a copy of Paul Blart 2 and Dark Side of the Moon; the point where you sync them up is right before Paul Blart 2's main title and right as the Columbia Pictures logo starts to fade to black.

One thing I really love is how for both times that Eclipse plays, during the speech and again at the end, they're both triumphant moments for Paul that are underscored by sadness (Maya not being there for his speech, and arguably Paul deciding to reject Divina) which are both highlighted by the lyric "and everything under the sun is in tune, *but the sun is eclipsed by the moon*". Beautiful stuff!
