Hey man these are awesome. Your stuff has been popping up in all my relentless searching for help on a diagram. Would you be willing to talk me through one? Concentric pots, 3 way pu selector, coil tap for the neck (Novak bs-ds). Is neck to coil tap, to pots, to selector and out OR neck to coil tap, to selector, to pots and out? Thank you for any of your time!

@@judasbrain6599 this is a severely complex little build. I do these in my head but the real trick is how to assemble them. I’ve got a “solder blog” in here somewhere building one. This is not an easy one.

@@ticktockfool think I just found a couple that should help. I’ve done a lot of partscasters with standard Fender applications, but wanna go all out for this jazz bass

Such a good video, thanks! You still digging this control plate? I got the 920D concentric knob plate with series/parallel toggle, but I was bummed that I couldn’t switch from neck solo to series, due to the neck volume/tone knob being bypassed when in series mode. Anyhoo! It looks like this control plate will alleviate that issue.

Yessir, it’s as it states. It’s all that but the switch makes the solo/ rhythm switching so effortless!

Excellent! So, if I had the main toggle in neck position, while the mini toggle is in series position, I could just flip the main toggle to middle position and go from neck to series, right?

@@goosegaskins actually, if I’m reading that right, if you’re in series, the neck position would be silent. Middle position and bridge with allow series due to the wiring but, if you’re in the neck position and switch to series, it’ll go silent. You’d have to switch to middle. It’s just the limitations of this configuration.

Oh, so the mini toggle will cut off the neck pickup when it’s in the down (series) position, gotcha! Thanks, that helps my decision process a ton.

This system still makes neck-to-series easier-only two switch flicks-than the 920D system. So you got that going for you… which is nice.

how do you wire a seriess jazz bass i just followed some google wirings but my bridge output is ~6.3k and mu neck is ~5.5k when i series them i got less than 3k is that right but i cant go back to parallel mode my bridge will be muted on the other position of the switch

You wire or connect the hot and ground of both pups. You’re going to have them act as one pickup. Bump in volume and a bump in low mids.
