First I want to give a BIG shout out to Gaino Dollins for voicing Blaster in the intro for the video. Second, I'm seeing a LOT of comments about Titans Return Blaster. My research suggested that Soundwave was developed first, or at the same time even though Blaster was released at first. Ken Christiansen released artwork of Soundwave of this as well, which leads me to believe that they were both in mind when Titans Return was in development. Either way, the point of Blaster and Soundwave sharing a mold a lot still rings true. You know what, I think Blaster would make a great character for a new transformers show. I think he has a lot of potential with character differences to Soundwave and could easily make a loveable character. Whether he would be a main character or make an awesome appearance.

Pure awesomeness! As a kid in the 80’s and loooong before we found out, there was a running joke among me and my friends (black, white and Latino) that Jazz and Blaster were “brothers”; meaning had they been human they would’ve been black. As adults and now knowing they were voiced by black men, it makes those memories so much better. Thanks for a great video Rodimus!

That commercial was poking fun at how many times Soundwave snuck into places with 'someone lost this neat cassette player' (including the Ark thanks to human allies) like that, and since Cons don't have human allies they used one of the cassettes for additional irony. To be fair, Rumble would of only cared it could be loud and annoying to others, so it's actually fairly accurate he'd be that dense to do so.

Blaster is a cool Autobot. I had the G1 version and now I have the Transformers Kingdom version. The way he looked in the cartoon. The voice was done by Buster Jones who appeared on The Six Million Dollar Man and did voices for Black Vulcan from the Super Friends, Doc from G.I.Joe, Winston from the Real Ghostbusters, and Jem. RIP Buster. 😢

I remember Blaster and Soundwave's fight in the night club. Soundwave was winning the fight until Blaster used speakers to greatly increase his sound based powers to knock back Soundwave and win the fight. It showed how Soundwave was older, more experienced and more powerful then Blaster which isn't surprising.

Blaster is definitely a fan favorite in Season 2 as his appearances after Season 2 and the movie were amazing. It’s a shame he isn’t a recurring character in shows such as The War For Cybertron Trilogy series on Netflix, or Transformers Prime, but I think he deserves more appearances and spotlight in Transformers! Definitely a fantastic one!

The final battle between Blaster and Soundwave in Headmasters second episode was amazing, both cassetmasters punching each other to the death until Blaster was standing, is the stuff of legend

It was stupid. Soundwave clearly won but blew up for no apparent reason, only to be brought back as black colored instead at the start of next episode, while Blaster returned more or less because the kid nagged so much about it, making the autobots look like they dont care for eachother.
