I actually didn't have any fun playing poker in Vegas the last several times I went back. Ultra tight locals and euros made the games extremely boring along with the lack of talking and friendliness compared to playing at the Dallas Card House at the same stakes. I found myself playing more blackjack than poker while in Vegas.

@xdefyy yeah I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago. Didn’t have a lot of time to play but was near MGM. Even the 1/2 game wasn’t what I expected, since it was an uncapped which I never see at that level. Maybe one or two splashy guys, and lot of tight regs.

12:12 one thing I have learned is if they bet the flop but check the turn, there's a good chance they are on a flush draw. It's crazy how I watch poker videos, see that scenario, and am able to call it correct majority of the time. I honestly put him on K/10H....

What do you think about three betting the flop in the second hand with QQ? The problem with flatting his check rays is we never have any bluff in our range obviously since we're defending. Sure we open up our opponent to continue his bluffing, but that is circumstantial on whether or not he thinks we're going to fold, and on a king queen ace board it's almost impossible for him to continue to bluff. However flop three bets are typically seen as bluffs precisely because the equity denial you create for your opponent is not something you would normally want to do with a monster hand. So if your opponent wants to gamble with a straight jaw he may just stick it in especially if he thinks that his pair outs are alive and you have complete air, or he'll just call it off as an unlucky cooler with a random top pair thinking to himself " why would you three bet? "

Lex (or others), curious about the pocket queens hand where you hit a set. Is a reraise on top of his check raise ever the right move? Perhaps he has two pair or on a draw he might want to get it in with and you then scoop? I’m not sure what his stack size was and I probably would flat there too but just a thought.

A 3 bet there does nothing but folds out worse hands. Just calling gives him the opportunity to continue barreling on the turn. Playing in position you can make sure a bet goes in on the turn.

😂 regs in Vegas, FL, TX all know their reps. It’s just ppl don’t change their playing style whether they’re losing/winning, it’s just how much they can afford. Btw I’ve watched 5-10 vloggers and pretty much all of them at one time or another have expressed same thoughts.

@@KEEPlT1K I’m from OC, although OC doesn’t have poker, when I venture up to Bike, Commerce, HG,… the regs from LA > degenerate residents of OC. And I’ve watched many vloggers comment how tight regs in Vegas are, that may only apply to higher stakes, but the lower stakes, mostly degenerate, aggressive, bad gamblers.

​@@greglist2991it's not only higher stakes that are tight in Vegas. Got a lot of regs and pros that are 2/5 players that play pretty tight! And for different, various reasons. Some are just protecting their roll. They're ONLY there to make money. Typical look. Ipad and headphones, sunglasses and a beanie. They ain't giving away nothin! Then there's guys who are literally there to log hours for a freeroll tourney and their player's card. They're mainly retirees and local dealers on their day off or whatever. And then you get the tourists who have studied poker for years on CLP or something like that, and just wanna give themselves the best chance to actually win money so they play mostly premiums. And I know Lake Elsinore is technically Riverside county, but they're pretty close to being OC don't you think?

Min-raise and get paid, or redo your analysis. You turned a set into a bluff and got no value at all. If you min raise, or a tad more, and get rejammed.... hmmm... maybe occasionally you can get away when he has broadway. Maybe not. Still, are there enough times your A5 suited or similar opponent calls your raise?
