Women should not be leading a church. Women are lead by emotions and In all cases of a woman pastor. She will dictate what scripture says if it doesn’t fit her emotions when she reads it. That doesn’t mean women cant lead Bible studies or other activities in the church but following true doctrine and teaching the congregation needs to be lead by a man. Some people get upset at this but it is in scripture. If you’re going to follow what God ordained and laid out for us there is no exception. Yes Paul was the one that said woman should not teach but we have to remember that Jesus was speaking through Paul during his evangelistic ministry and life. Woman are incredibly important in the church and we men need them but pastoring and leading the church is a man’s position.

I was going to like this, but your reason is wrong. It isn’t because “women are emotional”. All humans are emotional, women are but socialized to be more expressive and not all are, just as not all men keep their emotions inside or only expressed as anger (which is an emotion). Women are not to be pastors because that isn’t the order God intended, simple as that. It has nothing to do with capability or mindset or emotions. If women were led with emotions then there wouldn’t be good mothers. A lot of parenting is done DESPITE one’s emotions. In standing for the truth, remember that you have sisters in Christ who are fellow image-bearers. It’s the WORLD that says women are emotional (the pagan ancient Greeks perpetuated this nonsense), not the Bible.

What I was trying to convey. In general when a woman is attempting to lead a congregation she leads with her emotions and yes some men do as well. Even when Paul says that Eve was deceived, deception isn’t necessarily emotional. The Genesis text just says the fruit looked good for gaining wisdom. Oddly enough, that same wording and thought progression are used when David takes Bathsheba and when other men took what wasn’t theirs in the Bible. That can be emotional; it can also just be practical: I see, I want, I take. Emotion isn’t the point in any of those cases whether man or woman; the sinful desire we all possess is.

You really think the theological distinctives you care the most about and use to separate yourself from other Christians would be regularly repeated in the writings of the earliest church fathers? What about the next oldest church fathers? What about the church fathers even 400 years after Christ? And other than a some stuff from the great ROMAN CATHOLIC and ORTHODOX hero, Saint Thomas Aquinas, do you think the main points you argue with and separate yourself from other believers is even a major part of the theology of church fathers even 1000 years after Christ's assumption? When all your theological heroes are from the last few hundred years and your favorite preachers today don't sound almost at all like the church fathers for the first millennium of the church.... when was your faith first delivered to the saints? When Luther nailed those theses? When Zwingli wrote some books? When Calvin called for violence against the Lord's ethnic people? You think Voddie and MacArthur (if he's still in the heresy hunters good graces, I can't keep up with who you guys kick out) and Paul Washer agree with Origen and Polycarp or even Chrysostym? And I'm not even a Catholic or Orthodox or from any of the apostolic churches. I'm a boring modern American protestant. I just think it's hilarious and ironic to hear Calvinists (or almost any protestants) get haughty about being tied to the faith ''one and for all" delivered to the saints while most of us would vehemently disagree with massive parts of the faith that were normative for hundreds of years or longer and then some of our strongest held beliefs weren't even things to divide over or were never even talked about until some western Europeans over a millenium after the Church had been already living and spreading started writing about and pushing other "systematics". Or was the early church spreading a false gospel until we got the 5 solas? It's nonsensical. The apostolic faiths have a LOT they can call us protestants out for that we cannot answer for.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. While you don't think that you are doing the same thing, you really think the theological distinctives you care the most about and use to separate yourself from othe Christians are being used by you. In short, how are you doing any different. Just because you don't like it based on the sources you like doesn't mean he is doing anything wrong and it's nonsensical for you to think that. Tell that to the apostles. Church just means “called out” in Greek, which is what Christians are. We are also commanded to gather together and encourage each other. These are the bare bones of being in the body of Christ. You can’t really say church isn’t biblical when Christ’s commands ultimately point to a minimal church structure. You may disagree with the added things, but there is an actual foundation underneath that God laid for us.
