Hello mate - great video really informative, i've just picked one of these units up to fit to my '07 Defender 90. Just looking at the rear harness, under A5 it shows as Power Control(*) - any idea what this would be for pal?

Unfortunately, I don't have the manual anymore so I can't double-check it. So sorry I can't help you on this one, mate.

Could it mean the automatic extension and retraction of the antenna? When you want to listen to the radio, it would send power to the antenna to do this.

Glad i found this, even as a kid in the era of CD's i never liked the look of the Pioneer etc stereos, just something very gamer about them with red lights.. It's like the Tuner community designed them all and it looks so tacky imo. Also i don't want a "fancy" looking car stereo just for someone to bust out the windows in my favorite car, and steal something worth 200 dollars new hahaha And yeah "you can take the front off and throw it in the glove compartment" but who wants deal with that every time they exit the vehicle?, that's as fiddly as rechargeable bike lights, goodman annoyance in my life journey towards inner peace!.

Nope, nice and simple, very easy and connects each time

How works the handsfree? Is it usable or not? And where is the microphone?

The hands free is great! The microphone is actually on the face of the unit. I was very sceptical that it would work, but it's very good and clear!

I'm not sure to be honest, I haven't had to connect my phone for charging yet!
