Just heard my first 3 of the 2x Cato's are on their way. Excited to see how the fine-tuned 40mm is performing.

Looking to purchase. Does the 40mm cover full frame for a (2.4:1) deliverable?

So excited for my Catos that shipped already. 40 mm looks amazing.

I really love these flares!! Well done Blazar! It seems they are more subtle than on the Remus. The distortion is heavy on the FF 4:3, but it's easy to reduce in post. I'm a Kowa 16H shooter and the widest I could go without vignette was 55mm for fullframe (3:2) and 40mm for Super35 (4:3). Also the sharpness looks good. I'm not sure if I still prefer the look of my Kowa, but the easy handling, size & weight of the Catos will defiintely compensate for it :)

❤🔥Awesome! I really appreciate the sharpness at T4, and the focus breathing is quite manageable. The lens also offers an excellent minimum focusing distance. Naturally, a 40mm lens will introduce some distortion, but I personally prefer a slightly cleaner look, as seen on S35. That being said, it’s truly an impressive lens overall! 🔥Thank you guys again for producing such great lenses for an affordable price!

I love it at T4 too! It's still got a lot of character, but the subject looks sharp.

These shots look PHENOMENAL. Can't wait for the 3 on the way, and for the 40 next year. These will be a FIRE addition. PS: Came for the lens, and stuck around for the doggo

A little much barrel distortion for my taste. The Remus 50mm cropped to 2:39 on a FF 16x9 sensor has the perfect amount in my book. Most of the time you don't notice it but the image does really pop nicely. I do like the CATO flares quite a bit though. Nicer than the Remus in my testing. Although it could also be the light source since different light sources create different flares. Either way, love how Blazar keeps pushing the envelope and excited to get more of the Remus line over the next year as I get the cashflow. 85mm is probably my next one. Once I see more 33mm tests on 16x9 sensors it's possible I may pick that one up as well.

Luckly if you don´t like distortion you can correct it in resolve with two clicks, apart of it, I really love the aspect of this ones even more that the remus set
