Clingan was never a high-minutes guy. I think they’ll just play him entirely behind Ayton with the two of them splitting the minutes at the 5 while he adjusts to the NBA, then trade Ayton at the deadline or next summer if Clingan shows he’s too good not to start

you didnt mentioned Thybulle, definitely hes gone now (camara avdija rupert all defenders). so Thybulle, Grant Timelord Ayton... if we get 4-5x 1st on top would be pretty good

I don’t think the blazers offered anything to move up to 7. I bet Charlotte made that up to try to get more out of Memphis. I think it was clear Portland was targeting Clingan, so Charlotte would have had no reason not to take value to still get their guy at 7

i just realized, WHAT IF drafting Clingan now opens the door for Dan Hurley to replace CB as a head coach next? hes got that connection with Clingan, not going to be on the spot as a Lakers coach. imo he will be so good in development of young players,

This was an A Draft for the Blazers & we still have 34 & 40 w/ some great guys still available!!! 'media types who always say it's ""him or them"" and / or dont GET IT!!! Successful Teams Need DEPTH! ; U need 2 - 3 Solid BIGS -- 2 - 3 Solid Wings -- 2 - 3 Solid Guards!!! ; It's NOT Katt "or" Rudy!!! Jovic or' M.P. Jr (both have center size) Scoot 'or' ANT... U NEED ALL of them, in their role , to make the team balanced & successful! ; Clingan can play Center for DEFENSE & Rebounds, Screens, Cuts, etc.. and Reese or Ayton CAN Play Pwr Fwd WITH him at times, bcuz they are both great shooters & more "finesse" bigs,. JUST Like A.D. is a center in size but prefers a Pwr Fwd positionally!!! ; WHY is it Lakers,.. Minnesota,.. Denver,.. any other team can play 2 or 3 BIGS and No1 bitches about that,.. but then when its OUR TEAM were supposed to believe in all u do is complain how it has to be "1 guy" or the other,... bcuz surely we cant' have 2 or 3 LEGIT Bigs , who all fulfill a different role! ; ) small ball 'curry-klay' land is DEAD People!!!! BIGS & Wings dominating the flow & defense & flow of games is what's Here NOW & what's Trending!!!! ; Blazers Are FINALLY Doing A Great Job Filling the NEEDS of the team and making good trades & picks!!!
