This is not everything you need to know. I'm 11 minutes in and still waiting for you to cover the topic the title is referring to.

I used both and can tell the good and bad things about both (nothing is perfect in this world) frameworks. I am looking for a serious contender for React Native.

I'm currently using Mudblazor for one of my project and for forms I prefer to use the standard editform component rather than the mudblazor version because I find it more intuitive.

The only though the key point where Blazor loses game to React is Performance. The latter is WAY faster than the former
@justblazorprogramming2 жыл бұрын
True, its the same for nearly any other library or framework. However i believe for Blazor Server it might be slightly slower but nearly not as bad or noticeable as WASM

Can i challenge you ? How smaller can you make a blazor project (download size)

A lot of it comes from webassembly. Thats something microsoft has to figure out

@@justblazorprogramming If you haven't done it already, would love to see see something about how Blazor manages it's decisions on how it includes only the "necessary" packages to optimize size and how that management might be customized by us software engineers. Also, maybe at the same time (or maybe in a different video) how the new "Implicit Usings" works.

Videos like these require longer videos for those of you that are saying 10 min videos…. Its like those stupid click bait videos “learn calculus in 10 minutes” its impossible. I think he did right by doing a 45 min video
@justblazorprogramming2 жыл бұрын
That is also a valid point, why not both? I can always make a more concise video in 15 minutes that although not complete in its analysis will provide highlights to what I could feel the most important things to cover. And i can make a longer video to cover the full breath of the topic. That would also allow me to generate more content.

Not fair! Blazor is a framework, react is just a js library. Not really the same things to compare! Blazor is much bigger than react
@justblazorprogramming2 жыл бұрын
My comparisons are more practical examples of how a developer would come to actually use the products. React has on its site said it wants to take the modular approach to development so you are not constrained. That has merits and consequences. To some it might be great to others it might not be what they want to deal with. React is also the most widely used SPA library, so it technically will never be a framework however it does make creating SPA applications possible within its ecosystem. So I think its more than fair to compare the two as they both have the same market function.
@TysonGibby2 жыл бұрын
@Kouroush Salahshoor A good point, to continue on that same thought, among other things a deployed Blazor WASM project is also an entirely self-contained application/website. It packs a lot of punch for it's size. I do think the comparison is valid with the extras Blazor brings to the table in mind. Maybe React Native would be a better comparison in the context you and I are thinking.
@justblazorprogramming2 жыл бұрын
React native would probably be better compared against .net Maui in my opinion because mobile development would be the main reason you would use it.
