The high brake requires a separate 12-volt battery. The low brake is not a real brake at all. All it does is shut off electricity to the motor when you pull on the regular handlebar brake lever. That way the motor is not trying to make you go even thou you have activated the handlebar brake lever.

Great video very helpful. Does the controller with no hall sensor work on a motor with a hall sensor? My controller is 50amps dualtron_x2 no hall sensor, and my motor is LD 3200watts with a hall sensor.

Some ideas : Arduino touch display : including watt meter (W, V, A, Wh used, Wh/km), speed and trip, remaining trip, motor temperature, main on/off, throttle control for limited speed and current, controlled front and rear light by luminosity and e brake, bms analyser with cellule voltages, bms temperature, Usb c phone charger Low voltage cut off modification (for better life cycles) Shunt resistance measurement for accurate reading of consumption (which depends if watts measured from controller) You asked for ideas, there you have it. 😃

does a bad hall sensor damage the controller? how about a burned engine? does it damages the controller

With defective hall sensor most probably if the controller is from good ones it will hit error and cut the power from the motor, if the controller is from cheap ones... most propably it will burn the motor, if the motor is high power then will burn the MOSFET of the controller.

Very nice, thanks for putting the vid and visual aid together! I've repaired and worked on cars, motorcycles, amplifiers, etc., and had questions about how electric scooters and bikes were put together, this is very helpful. It would be nice if the manufacturers had a shop manual and a schematic available. In theory an electrically driven vehicle should be easier to repair and last longer.

This really explains all the components well, that's for the effort that went into making the video. I watched it to help me find a power problem with my bike as when I click Low setting to Medium there is a power increase as you'd expect but then when I click to High I can hear it click in but only for a fraction of a second. I had the battery tested as I thought there was a bad cell or two when demanding more power as in High mode but the battery is fine. Any where else I should be looking please? Thank you.

Great video Sir! i have an important question/problem to solve for make my elettric scooter legal in my country(italy) i hope u can help me :( I have to change 2 of the 3 speed settings of mine lcd throttle to:7km/h and 25km/h with out change the third one (that have the maximung speed). i have an lcd throttle and i can only change the % of the total power that my scooter will take(from 0% to 100%),not the singol speed setting,so after watching your video(for what i get it) i have to change the voltage of the three input of the speed controller for make what i want,right? So my question is:how i can do that? there is a way to change manualy the voltage for each signal?can you do a video tutorial for that? i think will be realy usefull for people that want change the speed settings one by one

i recently purchased an electric gokart for my kids, this kart... kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqKYpat6ZZKXgtU that is supposedly 3 speed, however its only going slow/medium. i pulled switch off and it defaults to medium. jumping the black/yellow results in slow speed. Jumping the black/blue results in medium speed. the switch completely removed results in medium speed. im assuming at this point that there is an issue with the speed controller?

My Ancheer sport stops and when I reinsert the charger cable it will power on. the.battery is new and holds a charge. It will go a mile then stop again. It will show no bars. Replug the charger ready to ride. Have you heard of this problem is a new controller needed. My bike is 250 36 volt if I put a 350 48 volt then what happens?

Hello, I have a Bolt Pro and I put a new twist throttle with a key ignition that took the place of the cruise control button. Now that I have no cruise control button I can't turn the LED Headlight on. I would like to have the OEM button on the left handlebar be the cruise and headlight trigger but unsure how to connect it to the controller and work that way. I wonder why hall sensors always are used today. In the old days of electric 3-phase asynchon and synchon motors, this motors were driven directly from the power network and worked without sensors. There were no electronic controllers available. However there existed some now outdated methods to regulate the speed.

A few questions. Is highbrake always connected to plus from the battery (are all or most controllers similar in this case)? Can i use high and low brake together / simultanious? my idea is Lowbrake at the standard switch from the brake leaver and highbrake at a button to use it only when i want to. The question is, can i press the highbrake button at the same time i pull the brake which connects lowbrake, or might this damage anything insider the controller? Thanks for your answer in advance

Hi... To activate high brake will work only when is connected to High pole of battery... now to connect them in same time.... i don't know because i never try it, but i think it will work at 90% without problem... But I promise you that I will try it.

The 3 speed wire. The middle one is ground ( - ) i think so does it connect one of the outer 2 with the middle wire for 1 of 3 speed mode. My scooter has that one not connected and its not going really fast. (35kmh)
