Something Isshin vs Grand Fisher really highlights is Bleach's anti-vengeance messaging. Every time someone fights with vengeance in their heart, they're ultimately punished even if they get their revenge(Even Ichigo suffers serious wounds to strike a single blow on Grand Fisher), but Isshin steps away unharmed because he defeated Grand Fisher not for vengeance, but to protect Kon.

I really like how Isshin and Ryuken are paralleled in this part of the story. And another detail about Isshin is that he seems to have the remains of a Captain's cloak. Also, now knowing that Ichigo has a Soul Reaper father, it means that his resemblance to Kaien Shiba might actually be a very significant part of the mystery of Isshin's past.

Isshin is a badass ex Shinigami and more importantly father. To me he really developed and expanded upon the concept of Shinigami exiles and how many there are in Karakura and the surrounding regions besides the ones we know. Given the level of Spiritual activity I'd say there may be quite many more living in the human world for their own reasons. Be it due to injustice and frame up like Kisuke or simply wanting a normal life, tired of the drudgery.

Regardless of whether Urahara is a sussy boy or not, it really wasn't his place to tell Ichigo about his dad. Isshin most likely wants to keep that secret to himself and will only tell Ichigo when he feels ready to do so and if he ever feels it necessary to do so. Isshin was probably hoping that his children would live relatively normal lives, and him being a Shinigami would never need to be brought up.

i'm here to throw some fun facts when tite made his factions/groups of people with the same ish powers he made sure to link them to a culture at least superficially, you might have noticed a lot of uryu's techniques have german names and his design is Christian coded but like slightly different, the shinigamis are all Japanese coded (i know, shocking revelations here), the anime even took this into account when they made up their faction for a filler arc that they tried to make part of the anime canon but nobody liked it (it was so dull it was the first time i decided to skip a filler arc, that's how bad it was) but still props to them for that, they were called the bount, they were mega german/east European coded and they even tried to get uryu some involvement since his faction was also german coded but idk if they followed trough because i skipped it, the vizards are based on the masks women used in western Europe in the 16th century, these are apparently different than the ones they used on balls and such, these were to protect the skin from the sun and in the 17th century seemingly that kinda meant you were a prostitute but idk maybe the accounts we have for that period of time are from a dude that just hated women "Malleus maleficarum" style. the hollows while not having a strict thing to them the word arrancar means to start in some Spanish dialects but also to tear off, probably in reference to their masks

Well if it's not canon it technically is canon. I say that because we see when Ichigo is trying to obtain Bankai he has memories of people he met and one of them was the leader of the bounts. Where does this take place in SS Arc idk but it clearly happened since the episode that reminded it is canon. So if the Bount arc isn't Canon it technically is since it was referenced (although slightly) in Canon. It's the same thing with OG Naruto when Sasuke is remembering Flashbacks after waking up in the hospital as he's pissed at Naruto growing stronger and they vividly show in the flash back a non canon filler where Sasuke challenged a guy that had the 2nd Hokage's treasure weapon which was an actual Lightning Blade (or rather a Blade Embedded with Lightning Chakra) to see if his "Lightning Blade" was better then the one Kakashi taught him (it wasn't and Sasuke lost).

@@matiaspereyra9392 it's fine that you did this at that time, it was still clear. But I do know what filler you're talking about for Hinata. It's the one they give her more character development (which she drastically needed) and she's fighting ninjas that use insects (like Shino's clan but different) and she developed her own version of the 64 Palms that honestly rivaled what Neji has at the time (outside his 128 Palms which is anime canon only). It was called Protective 8 Trigrams 64 Palms. It was only ever shown twice in the series. The first in OG Naruto that I mentioned prior and then another time in Shippuden during the filler of the Exams when Rock Lee fought a guy that had his own version of the 8 Gates that was on Par with 6 Gate Lee. Personally I consider that filler with Hinata and her jutsu canon as it's insulting to give a character more depth but only in a non related side story. I also consider it Canon bcus the games (Naruto Generations and Ultimate Ninja Impact) also have Hinata using it as her Ultimate. Generations and another game had the actual creator Kishimoto not only giving pointers but he created new concepts himself for the game (Examples being giving Itachi and Shisui Perfect Susano's despite not having it in the Anime or Manga). It's still talked about whether fans consider certain games as Canon even to this day but people seem to agree overall that if anything those specific games are Canon to the Anime moreso then the Manga (which is fine bcus DB has a difference in canon from the Anime and Manga like Goku in Manga only using Hakai and how Gohan was the one to beat the Kefla Fusion during ToP in the manga only). Which further supports the canonicity of the Hinata filler (but the Itachi and Shisui Perfect Susano's are undeniably canon as Kishimoto created it himself).

Did you notice the white cloth hanging from Isshin's shoulder? That's a Shinigami Captain's haori. You can tell from the black designs along the bottom. Ichigo's the son of a, ex-Captain Shinigami. That means Isshin has attained Bankai. Not sure how much that specifically would impact Ichigo's potential, but it's certainly something to think about. As for backstory, every question you've posed about Isshin will be answered and then some, in time.

Was hype af to see this drop after just catching up on your series last night. I wanna say at first I was upset to see Isshin come in and one shot Grand Fischer. I also wanted so badly to see ichigo get his vengeance, but after a while I thought, maybe its better for Ichigo this way. I feel like if ichigo really did get his vengeance, he wouldnt feel anything from it, and he'd learn the hard way that killing the hollow that killed his mother wouldnt refill that void. It could even possibly reignite his grief all over again. And after the events of the soul society arc, I like to believe he's moved past it, and grand fischer never even crosses his mind.

One of the things that I love most about Bleach it's kinda of a double edge sword, it rewards the readers who really pay attention to little details lots of stuff gets foreshadowed or presented in very subtle ways that lots of ppl miss it and it causes people to say oh this came out of nowhere when in reality it was already been talked about or mentioned before, I guess that's a flaw of having a majority too many shonen readers who aren't as good reading minor details in storytelling.

Honestly, I think it was mostly a result of reading it weekly back when the manga was still being made. Reading a weekly series spanning over years, it would be pretty difficult to remember every detail as time goes on. A lot of the most important foreshadowing for things late in the series happens really early in the series. The average reader isn't going to remember little details from that far back because for them it happened years ago. People getting into the series now that it's finished will have a much easier time. As they binge it, all of the early stuff will still be relatively fresh in their mind. I also had unfair negative feelings towards the series back when it was ending, but when I decided to re-read it all before the TYBW anime started airing in anticipation of it, everything ended up clicking for me and I came to greatly respect Kubo as a writer.

What you need to know is that Bleach never gives you a break, in fact when you think is giving you a break, it's actually setting up foreshadowing, so you have a chance to connect the dots... And if you didn't pick up on it Kubo, will grab his bat and hit you in the head when he does the reveal showing you all of the scene. There is no rest for the wicked... Which is us and Kubo. P.S: This shock me, and then i went back to the early chapters to check it out, because i was a teenager and had time, and it all made sense everything fit what we were being told, i begun to hit my head to the wall(Not literally), and re-read Bleach again... And notice stuff that i jolt down for the future, and went back everytime something related to certain topics came up to see if it fits... Most of the time, i was grabbing my head shouting "How did i not see this comming the writting was on the wall!!!"

The more u know about Isshin the more u realise that he only acts like a fool. He is the best father in the universe. The reason he fight with Ichigo regularly is to train Ichigo. He knew that Ichigo will unlock his power one day. He wanted to teach ichigo fighting instinct. The reason he put up a stupid poster of his wife is to help family deal with grief. Instead of being down everytime they think about his wife, he wanted it to be funny. The only reason he started walking with his arms when they went to visit the grave is because Yuzu said "it's a tough hill to climb". Symbolise mental struggle. He only act like a fool is to hide his true motive. And it's mostly to help his kids deal with their mother's death.

Right, your questions are something that many don't understand even after reading/watching entire Bleach. So I'll explain a bit with as little Spoiler as possible. Regarding Arrancar bit. Aizen already explained Urahara had achieved something he couldn't, the Hogyoku. This actually means there are 2 of them. The one Urahara made, and the one Aizen made. Urahara's however works far much better than Aizen. That's why Aizen seems to have Arrancar's before his betrayal. I won't say anything more about this due to Spoilers, though some do consider the rest to be a bit vague as well. I'll explain them when they are relevant. Then there's Isshin. Yes, he doesn't have his power until recently. I won't explain anything more because Spoiler. Bleach is a master at Payoffs. Not Foreshadowing, but Payoffs. There are informations that seems wasn't complete or just forgotten, but I assure you everything would be explained in future arcs.

A later chapter in the manga explains Isshin, Masaki, and the loss of his powers; and it's a real doozy of an explanation. Not gonna spoil.

Isshin's Shinigami design hints at how powerful he is: he has a Captain's haori (coat) pinned on his shoulder. And now look at Urahara's design again: his haori is like an inverted Captain's haori, black with white accents inside of the traditional white with black accents. Kubo really loves hiding stuff in plain sight.

If he freaked out about what urahara knew about ishin wait till he finds out what urahara knew about masaki! And kinda he finds out soon but no real answers are given because ichigo says tell me when your ready..... moreover that was a bad moment for exposition
