Bleaklow Head Wild Camp in the glorious Peak District.

It was a beautiful day for October, so we packed our rucksacks and headed off for a Wildcamp on Bleaklow. The weather forecast looked good with maybe rain coming in sometime mid morning.. Well, the rain most certainly came in! From 3.30am it absolutely chucked it down and didn't stop for the rest of the day.. Never had to pack up the kit in pouring rain before, especially somewhere so remote.. it was messy!! But the previous evening, we had been blessed with an outrageously stunning sunset and it was quite warm for the time of year. The clag came in thick and heavy and we made a little silly mistake in wondering off track briefly.. we got lost! But I soon had us back on track, after a panic, and although the weather was terrible, we were really sad to leave this camp.. it was a very special experience and the tent really looked after us in some extreme conditions.. we love it even more now! Bleaklow is just a very special place and we now know we can do big wildcamps in very far away places and it will take some doing to top this one.. but we'll give it a bloody good go! 😊⛺💚

It's just amazing watching back isn't it.. takes us back there for a moment, and the feeling is special. We were tested, and despite a little panic, everything worked out just fine. 😊 We went big and look at how we managed and were completely rewarded. Never knew making memories could be so magical. 🫂🫶💜

I love the place, it just feels that you are truly in the middle of nowhere in pure, beautifully bleak wilderness. I recall seeing a vid of you having a very wild night up there once yourself.. it actually inspired us to get to camp up there. When it turns, it turns eh!! All the best mate. 👍

Thanks Wayne. 💚 We only went Alphin Pike that day because we were short on time for a massive walk.. We're so glad we did though, it was an absolute pleasure to bump into you and Richard. That was a brilliant video Mats, it looked like you and Donna had a great time. That sunset and the colours in the sky were awesome mate. That bit me laugh, "It's just a case of finding the tent now." (gotta love those peat hags). I see that the good old Bleaklow weather lived up to it's name during the night and the next day, i.e. Bleak!🙂 I enjoyed watching this from start to finish mate.👍

We did think we might have lost where we'd pitched the tent for a moment! 😊 You're one of a few people who's videos have completely inspired us to embark on this magical adventure and it is the most wonderfully special experience.
