A wild camp on Bleaklow, in the Peak District, and it lived up to its name, still enjoyable though.

I'm from Sheffield, well, have been since we moved from Salisbury in 1993 but currently living and working in Saudi Arabia. These videos are just fantastic and bridge that gap from here to home especially as I won't be back home for a few months, and even then only for a couple of weeks. All these places I know so well - Alport Castles, Kinder Scout, Edale, Glossop, Derwent and Ladybower and Sheffield itself. Every time I feel homesick, which is often, I just watch Patrick for half an hour and job done, spirits lifted and another half an hour closer to home. Wouldn't mind a guided tour of Megatron!!

@@johnfrancis7765 You know what, when I was back home November 2016 I saw a Japanese company had a small place at the bottom of Wincobank as I walked to Meadowhall interchange. Barrow Road (B6082) I think, on the right hand side walking toward Meadowhall. Then 3 month later I saw their knives in Calgary proudly stating "Made in Sheffield".

Great stuff as per usual Pat! Glasses and rain -nightmare I know. I usually ditch them in my pocket at that stage and find since it's usually bright I can get away without out them well enough. I have to take them off for map reading anyway. I am walking every Wednesday now with a small group of die-hards but it's flask and sandwich all round (plus pub at the end of course!) . I may start doing an extra day away myself with a full pack to see how I get on before I get too soft for the camping. :-). Thanks for the encouraging trip.
