With everything that has been said about Machine Head lately and the state of Metal, balance has been restored!!! Well done guys. I'll be pre ordering the album as soon as possible and the kids WILL be listening to this in the car for the first several months.

Machine head's new record is pretty awful, this song is not bad, however to me it kind of falls into genre tropes and is rather generic, I wouldn't say balance is restored yet. It's only March and there isn't anything special or groundbreaking here. I guess we'll see how the rest of the record holds up, always thought Empire was their strongest, it'll be tough to top that one for me.

...and in the end 2018 has been one of the most consitent regarding the quality of released albums. Lots of new wave of metal as well, which is an amazing prospect for what it is to come; Rivers of Nihil, Inferi, Oathbreaker, Conjurer, Dyscarnate, The Ocean, Horrendous, Judas Priest, At the gates, Revocation, Immortal, and others I might have forgotten now.... so many great albums!
