My purpose is to encourage people to do things themselves!
Plus, this is a nice hobby for myself and at the same time I have the opportunity to save a lot of money by doing all the maintenance myself!
I’m not a professional with cars or motorcycles, I just want to learn how to do things myself.
If you do this service yourself, always check the correct instructions in the official service manuals. This is just my way of doing it!

9:26 The rules for bleeding, Yes I understand the service manual may be very specific about closing/opening the bleeder valve, but from a shop that doesn't care to conserve brake fluid, you can keep the bleeder open, and keep poring fluid into the master cylinder while pumping the brake, as long as you are not sucking air back in through the bleed tube, you will get a perfect bleed. It also doesn't take a lot to open the bleeder, no more than a quarter turn is needed to open it. Air bubbles float up, the time it takes to close the valve let the lever go, open valve and press, the tiny air bubbles have already floated up the same distances you pushed them down. This is from a guy who used to do it the old way, and have been living with slightly spongy brakes for the longest time.

Also Remember the next time to place a coin above the small hall in reservoir, to avoid brake liquid exploit 🙂

Nice video, thanks for sharing! Any tips for getting air out of the rear control circuit? I screwed up and forgot to refill the reservoir. Now it seems that no matter how much fluid I pump through I'm always getting bubbles out.

Thanks! You just have to re-bleed the system for so long until there will not be any more air. Rules for bleeding: 1. Pull the brake lever slowly until the brake light switch clicks (snifter hole closed). 2. Open the bleed screw. 3. Pull the brake lever fully and close the bleed screw. 4. Release the brake lever slowly. 5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 until the brake fluid is clear and has no bubbles. Some tips: - Avoid rapid and forceful pumping of the brakes when bleeding - During the fluid-change and bleeding procedure, make sure that the fluid replenishing hole is always below the level of the brake fluid, otherwise air will be drawn into the brake system. Bleed the system again if this happens

@@JaniVoutilainen yep, that's what I've been doing. I've gone through about 3 quarts of brake fluid so far trying to get the air out though. Guess I'll keep at it. Thanks for the reply and suggestions.

@@ballpien it may be the joint at your plastic tube leaking rather than air in the system. cut off about 1 inch of the tube so it connects more securely.

Please explain to me why this is necessary if the control ECU doesn’t have air in it? If the calipers are bled on a regular interval won’t that refresh the fluid in the control ECU when the ABS cycles?

Wheel circuit and Control circuit have their own brake fluid reservoirs with their own brake fluids, each of which must be changed separately. The wheel circuit includes the front and rear brake fluid reservoirs in the ABS unit. The control circuit includes a front brake fluid reservoir in the handlebar and a rear brake fluid reservoir near the rear tire of the motorcycle.

Hello! I followed all the instructions and bleed the ABS unit the proper way. My rear break is still not working. Both break servos for the front and back are working and front breaks are working but the back doesn’t work. My warning lights are flashing alternating. When I pull the front brake or rear brake they flash very rapidly until I light off. Anybody know what this might be and how to fix it?
