This is probaby the best Die tutorial I've seen on YT. Simple and effective.

Well done mate, thank you. I always appreciate the detailed explanations as this is how I learned Blender. Being aware now of the short cut keys I still like to see videos like these because new people to Blender can learn just like I did. Keep it up.

Why not use snap to grid to help defining the points on the cube?

Im quite sure you can do all of this better and more efficient (for every know it all) , but for a simple tutorial it was all quite clearly explained and i could understand everything, perfect !

Nice tutorial, easy to follow. But I’ve a problem: if I replace the uvSphere (used for the number on each side) by a logo I've created on blender, the modifier "Boolean / Difference" do not react the same. the ICO sphere is hollowed, and I can see inside.

When following your steps, when I delete my joined spheres and select my cube again, the whole mesh is selected. The dimple areas too. Any ideas as to what I did wrong?

What is the reason for using the shrinkwrap rather than a simple bevel?
@ChipperVideos5 жыл бұрын
Non. Except to try and keep the tutorial short and simple for complete beginners.

if your using bigger numbers and you have to multiply you can type '256*2' and that will multiply you can also do the same for divide

Hello your video has been of great help. However I have encountered a problem towards the end. I would want the cube to be red and the booleaned part to be blue. When I invert the object in edit mode it does not highlight the booleaned part. Kindly help. I am using blender 2.90

@yamaha76414 жыл бұрын
You can set the pivot to the 3D cursor. Go to: Object > Set Origin > Origin to 3D Cursor

With that kind of sampling, imagine how many vertices are used to create this dice. What if the beginner wants to use this model in their game. It would be a total disaster for them.
