6:12 i didn't even know this tool existed, it made me stuck in this part for several days and i only discovered it by seeing the "Rip" in the inferior left corner on the screen. You can separate vertices by pressing "V" in your keyboard and do what he did

7:38 how is your mouth so close when you subdivide? Mine is open and i don't know how to fix it. Edit: I understand now, you inverted the extrude inside the head. I didn't notice that, and it made me stuck for some hours in this tutorial too.

He turned on proportional editing at the top of the display port, changed the proportional editing falloff to 'sharp' on the drop down arrow next to it, selected the top five verts from the side view, adjusted the size of the influence that the proportional editing has using his scroll wheel till its huge and then dragged back along the y,axis... Best I could do to explain lol, slowing down the video helps bro
