Thanks for the tutorial! I can't seem to get the animation parenting to work as demonstrated in the tutorial. It appears the parenting is happening, but the objects are not moving together. Would you know why that might be? Thanks!

You can head to edit then preferences and find the keymap section. Once there you can browse for an operator to set the key to use the function you like. Hope this helps

Thanks for this great intro to Blender shortcuts. I have a question... Logic Keyboards has a keyboard with shortcuts for Blender and their letter D has a paintbrush on there, but nothing happens when I press the D on my own keyboard; no paintbrush appears anywhere, no even in a 2D file. Is this an error printed on Logic's Blender keyboard, or am I using the D in a wrong window/mode or with the wrong settings?

As far as I know you can use shift D and alt D for duplication, not too sure if D has other functions. And I have never used that type of keyboard before. Perhaps if you have a manual for keyboard it may elaborate further on the uses of that shortcut

Hey! Just started with blender. Found that the tilde-key isn't on my keyboard. Do you know how to get that gizmo shortcut connected to another key?

Unfortunately no you cannot include it in shift a but you can use SHIFT-F1. Which Appends parts from other files, or loads as Library- data. And it Changes the window to a FileWindow, making Blender files accessible as a directory

Some of the shortcuts don't work on Laptop, for example 1, 3, 7 ...for the different views. I've been trying to find out, which one I have to use on my laptop, because there is no numpad. Pleeasse help!

You can emulate a numpad in blender if you don’t have one. Go to edit -> input -> under keyboard there is an option for emulate numpad, this is for blender 3 and up. Blender 2 and up it will be under file -> user preferences -> input -> emulate keypad. Hope this helps

It's a great video. But if you are like me. A beginner. This is way to fast. With the same content. The video should maybe be closer to 30min .

could someone tell me HOW IN THE HELL. I CAN CHANGE MY AXIS CURSORS.. I HATE BLENDERS DEFAULT AXIS.. I just want to PUSH fkn "G" and I want my MOVE cursor to be highlighted, just like I want to FKN PUSH "R" and have my Rotate icon to be selected as well as my "S" for scale iceon curson to be selected and I push the FKN S on my keyboard.. I HATE. I FKN HATE BLNDERS way of navigating with their defaul crappy axis cursor.. so if anyone knows how.. pls let me know... thank you in advanced

from minute 6:00 to 6:30 I do not like how your are moving, scaling or rotating. because I do not see my cursor.. all I see is a dotted lines and your icon arrows.. how in the hell I get my real cursor to show as MY DEFULT......
