Usually the free tree or vegetation add-on has no texture, only a white texture. But this is... Awesome like Botaniq Ivy, but more simple technique. :)

Awesome Addon! ⚠⚠⚠For anyone who wants to apply the geometry modifier to have a consistent mesh or just wants to have it visible in Unity or Unreal: You'll need to add the node "Realize Instances" between "Instance on Points" and "Group Output". Now you can just apply it. Hope this helps!

As I answered in a comment below : 1. Very cool addon, I'm hopping to see it gets a few upgrades for people like me that are not comfortable yet with fiddling with geometry nodes : - A simple "gravity slider" to adjust the curvature of the ivy so they don't only form straight lines. - A branch thickness slider (with hopefully an update so there is a main stem following the main path and not just tiny invisible noodle roots) - a quick "stem subdivision slider" to smooth those roots / stems. 2. There is no 2. Keep up the awesome work !

Hey thank you so much for the video! I was able to append the Ivy Generator into blender but I don't have the monkey or the other 3d objects that you have when you first loaded in the file. When I try to apply the modifier to a cube or any other geometry the object dissapears. Any help would be great!:)

you need to assign the object to attach it to. In the collection tab

The Fix for me was moving the collection with ivy_instance out of another collection in to the scene collection, now it works. Hope this helps!

Apply the geometry node than it becomes that mesh. Although, it's very high poly games would definitely crash lmao, it's best for movies/animations

Pretty stuff, though the ivy connecting different objects looks weird. It's too straight and rigid, instead of hanging down a bit. Do you know how to change the setup so that each object will grow its own piece of ivy and wouldn't be connected to other objects?

You will have to play with the node tree yourself to get that effect. Im guessing he uses the raycast node to snap the ivy to any nearby object.
