@@Shubham_Bahirat thats probably the hardware cause vega 8 isnt really good for tough 3d modeling or animation, you can try downgrading the version of blender so that the hardware can handle it more, like you can download blender 4.0 instead of 4.3, another way is to sell the laptop and buy a better specs laptop or a desktop pc that has also better specs ofcourse (desktop pcs are better than laptops in value and performance i think) ofcourse if you have budget, depends also on what kind of 3d modeling or animation you wanna achieve, if you wanna know whats the best specs for you, you can reply.

It's too bad Blender Foundation is running out of money. Whenever you make videos on blender, it'd be such a big help to include a small reminder to donate, but only if you can afford it. (If you have done this before, then I'm sorry for missing that.) Thank you for covering this in general, though. Your videos reach a wide audience, and a large portion of them have never used a 3d software. Showing the power of Blender in such a digestible format is really cool :) for those denying: less than 0.05% of active users actually donate. Blender is making an absolute miniscule amount of money compared to their services provided, and dedication to improving the software. If you are offended by this truth, or simply don't believe it, then you're the problem. Go donate. Even a dollar helps.

While light linking is great to have, i've seen people abuse it and ruin their scenes hard with it. One junior artist once couldn't get any shadows in his scene. Surprise: He used light linking EVERYWHERE, hence certain objects didn't throw shadows from certain lights. (That was in my 3dsmax days) So kids, remember: Light linking is a last-resort-tool! Don't use it if you can archive the same effect without it or you risk running into weird problems.

What laptop specs would you recommend for blender?
@Curt-00012 ай бұрын
As with most modelling and rendering software, the more the better really. The higher end the system the faster you can work and render. You should aim to maximize RAM size, CPU speed, and GPU speed though. Disk storage is important but can be easily expanded later. In general for a laptop you will want to ensure it has a dedicated GPU and not an iGPU (integrated GPU) and that it can cool itself well. Really 3D workstations are better being desktops since they tend to do better with sustained full load on CPU and GPU, say when rending a scene for 2 days straight.

Let's not take the bait. The guy responding is just a troll with no real argument. I've been doing professional VFX for 13 years, working with tools like Max, Maya, Modo, ZBrush, and Substance. While each has its strengths, Blender stands out because it's an all-in-one solution that allows senior generalists like me to tackle any project efficiently. Blender evolves rapidly, with impressive updates every few months, thanks to its open-source nature and a massive community contributing to its development. Open-source projects, when well-funded, grow faster and perform better than proprietary software because they have broader support and collaboration. Compare it to Chrome-pervasive because it's open-source. Proprietary software, on the other hand, can feel like a sluggish drain on resources. You can stick to multiple VFX apps with expensive licenses, inconsistent workflows, and endless headaches, or you can use one powerful, free app like Blender, supplemented by a few paid tools when needed. It’s just smarter. At the end of the day, people need to realize not everyone is wasting money on Autodesk. If you’re frustrated about sinking time and money into slow, overpriced software, that’s on you. And yeah, typing while angry is never a good idea!
